Adiris has absolutely no trouble letting her affections be known to you.
She’s a confident, independent lady and she knows what she wants.
Back in her day, if she told someone she liked them, there was a 90% chance that they’d be head over heels for her anyway. She’d had worshippers falling at her feet, and that kind of thing really does one for the ego.
In all honestly, she expects you to accept her regardless if you like her or not.
So she doesn’t actually... Ask you.
She just calmly puts her hand on your cheeks, says something in her native tongue, nods, and leaves. You don’t know what that means. You don’t know that she told you that you’re hers now.
When she approaches you again, she offers you her hand. Confused, you take it. Her eyes flicker down. She wants you to kiss her hand. That’s what her worshippers might have done. She expects the same behaviour from you.
So, if you get the memo and kiss her hand, she’ll be overjoyed.
Although that might be difficult when you’re sat on the floor mid-trial and overcome with sickness. But hey, you should just be pleased she isn’t hitting you. You’d rather her offering her hand instead of outright smacking you with that bulky weapon of hers.
But hey, if you do kiss her hand, that’s a sign of acceptance in her book. Now, if you just follow her round all trial, she’d quite happily let you live. You’re her little follower.
She doesn’t intend to be all haughty with you, it’s just what she was used to. She truly cares for you and others, but she also knows her worth.
Tries to teach you how to say things in her language. She teaches you ‘I love you’, except you don’t know that it means I love you, you only know that her face lights up when you say it, so you keep saying it.
Gets less overpowering with you overtime. She assumes the only way you’ll follow her is if she assumes a leadership role, but the more she realises you’re truly care for her, the less overbearing she gets. She mellows out. Lets you lead her by the hand. Lets you take charge sometimes. She ends up being the one to worship you.
