Why cats in particular? They're great, obviously, but is there any reason you favor them most?

They are silent, and graceful, quick and sure-footed, and utterly unapologetic about everything that they are.

I have never met a cat that has suffered displeasure willingly, that wasn’t utterly sure of its status - not simply as a cat, but very obviously, the best at being a cat of all other cats there are.

And that’s just the sort of life I want to lead.

Snow...it had done nothing but damn snow for near on weeks and it was almost March!... Shermer was covered, people were struggling, the school was closed, which meant one thing...staying away from home...though, in his current state, Bender couldn’t even remember why he was out here in the first place, how long had it been? a couple of days? an afternoon?

A cigarette hung from his pale almost blue lower lip, fingers bearly able to strike a match to light it due to the sheer numbness of his digits.“C’mon...asshole...” he slurred to himself before finally getting the tip to ignite...curling in on himself, arms around his torso for a little more heat.

God this sucked.
