Oh, that’s another new face...

This one in particular, though, had stood out for very obvious reasons. Typically, Roxas wouldn’t go out of his way to meet new people, but he will make an exception for a fellow that’s not-quite-human like himself. At the very least, it would be a nice gesture to help the guy feel welcome. 

With a casual wave, Roxas approaches the man(?) who didn’t seem to be doing anything in particular on the boardwalk. Roxas leans his arms against the railing of the looking out towards the ocean a few paces away. 

“’lo there. How is the relocation treating you?”

     Waking up on an unfamiliar beach after having fallen asleep next to Froze is certainly something disorienting. They were given the day off and she and Froze had decided to spend some time at the beach. She’d nodded off quickly, basking in the warm sun, only to awaken when she felt frigid water lapping at her heels. She hadn’t fallen asleep that close to the water and certainly the tide wouldn’t have reached her. She sits straight up, head whipping left and right, eyes widened in her panicked state.

          “ Froze?! Rawberry?! Macaronaaaaa?! “

          “ Guuuuuuys?! “

“Dude! You’re here too?” Fuck it, he might be soaking wet but clearly tackling down his best friend is much more important.

The search for the Nure-onna wasn’t exactly going anywhere. It was beginning to look like there really was no snake woman of the ocean here on this island. A-ya sighed, ready to give up until he could continue searching with Izaya later, until he noticed a figure on the beach. Creeping closer, he noticed the figure was the unconscious form of... a demon, perhaps? That’s the impression he got, anyhow. How exciting! The other demon on the island was so interesting- perhaps he would be too.

“Hey, wake up.” A-ya crouched down next to the stranger, shaking him slightly to wake him. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be pissed to wake up here....
