glorious lunch at aracama yesterday, today we’ve got 2 pint beers and the gooiest macaroni pasta at moonshine’s.
aracama is a legit filipino cuisine restaurant folks, but you don’t need me to tell you that. seriously. the pancit molo was delicious as i expected, so is the sisig and ensaladang talong. the beef salpicao was divine. take it from me, who does not prefer to eat eggplants or beef. (yes, i don’t like beef, okay?)
crispy pata is good and sinful, but not that sinfully good. what i’m saying is that it’s not something i’m going to crave for years to come nor would it be my first choice on the menu if there’s something else i really, really like there.
it’s an explosion of all that’s flavorful and good in the world yes, but not the end-all, be-all of everything that’s deliciously crunchy.
overall, it was good. too bad it upset our client’s stomach, despite her constant assurance that she liked everything on the table. it’s to bad she can’t handle the awesomeness of the food.
as for moonshine, it was okay. there was a fucking fly buzzing around over our heads though. so much for the atmosphere. seemed to be the local watering hole for the white expats though.
thanks to our clients and the company’s credit cards. also, my rusty conversational skills in english is getting some practice.
*i have the unfortunate experience getting turned off at filipino cuisine restaurants for the shoddy way the food is presented/cooked/etc. cabalen is a fine example of how filipino food doesn’t get the treatment it deserves. i’d rather eat at goldilocks instead. if you want to do filipino buffet, why not take pointers from buffet restaurants like yakimix/vikings/etc and elevate your game?
