Perpetual WIP from 2022 of Vilkas and Araduna that I rediscovered in my files 🫣⚔️🔥

Maybe I'll actually do an updated version that actually gets finished... Maybe?

Idk but this was supposed to capture the moment they let their walls down for each other and gave in to their romantic desires, if only for a moment.

The longer I stare at it, the more I want to redo/finish it 😭😭😭

A beautiful commission of Araduna and Vilkas I got from Weeblzmonkey/Karma Lewis recently! I am obsessed with it 😭😭😭😭 it's giving "paused between battles while adventuring to tease and steal a kiss" and I'm so beyond here for it 😭😭😭💜

Sooo I did try my best with the Gate to Sovngarde modpack but it was just way too difficult. So I uninstalled it, went through the mods from that list and cherry picked out all the ones I wanted and started a new game!

Trying to keep Araduna's storyline more or less in-tact. She does follow some very specific order of some things but there's also a lot of room for randomness. Unlike BG3, of course, Skyrim has less narrative structure, so I have to fill in more blanks and keep track of her story timeline on my own.

She's halfway through the main quest (just got the Elder Scroll), has grown close to Lydia and gifted her the farm (Goldenhills Plantation) and realized she had fallen in love with Vilkas. They got married, but I thought it was funny that Farkas didn't show up at all 🤣 but he had just asked to be purified of beast blood, so many he was just recovering still.

I also found a really nice hairstyle for Araduna that I really like on her. I'm thinking of cosplaying as her again (for a third time) for my local Renaissance Faire this year and it's about time I got an actually nice lace front for her hair. Lol

So I downloaded the Gate to Sovngarde mod pack! Decided to remake Araduna and see how it goes.

I don't not like it, but this mod pack is definitely too hard for me to play as-is. I had to turn off a lot of the mods before I started a new game lol I play everything on easy mode, that's enough of a challenge for me 😂 it's still a really hard challenge (I'm level 4 and still getting one shot by enemies at Bleakfalls Barrow lmao). So for now I am just fighting wolves and bears and single bandits I come across until I level up enough to continue the main quest.😭😭

I also turned off some of the character creation mods that made your character's face too glam and yassified. Especially since Araduna is a Dunmer and I refuse to have her looking too "pretty". She's a spellsword living in a dusty, dirty place and glamour is the last thing on her mind. Anyway, I have a lot of fun with the face sculpting mod and I got her face to a point I was satisfied.

I'm excited to see how this playthrough with her goes lol

I also enjoy the added "traits" mod that allowed me to give her bad vision! If I remember correctly, it makes everything like 30+ feet away look blurry and she gets less critical hits from that distance or further, BUT all spells and melee do like 15% more damage or something like that. But the coolest part is she can build glasses to help... I just have to level up to the point I can get through the Dwemer dungeons and get the right metals lol so it'll be a good while before she's getting any glasses 🤣🤣

Some facts about her:

⚔️She is a pot-stirrer (of sorts), an inquisitor, crafty-minded, warrior and thief. ⚔️You get one chance to be on her good side. Cross her once, you're on her crap list. ⚔️She enjoys getting into trouble for the challenge of it and scalping loot is one of her favorite hobbies. ⚔️She loves a good fight and will seek one out just to test herself. ⚔️Her vision is not great. She CAN see, but her vision is clouded, just like her eyes. Part of her desire to challenge herself in battle is to continuously prove she can take care of herself, despite any physical issues she may face. Because of this, she has developed techniques to become a skilled warrior. I'm not sure what happened to her yet (idk if she was born that way or if something happened to her) but it's something she's dealt with for most of her life. ⚔️She is from Solstheim. She has family in Windhelm. ⚔️She is fairly xenophobic. ⚔️While she studies Destruction magic and is highly skilled at it, she does not consider herself any type of mage. She simply uses magic as a tool in tangent with her blade.

She’s unlike most of my other characters, so it’s foreign territory for me to create someone like her. Usually my ocs tend to be INFP-ish, bleeding heart types but she is far from that lol It’s fun to make someone like her for once x3

Though I do prefer Farkas, he was the first npc I married bc one time he said “I like you” and that was it for me LMAO

AHHHH yes!!! I'm always happy to talk about Vilkas and Farkas!! They are the best boys 😤

Skyrim is my favorite game and BG3 is a close second. I have my reasons, but it all comes down to comfort and escapism!

And I do love Farkas, but Vilkas just really clicked with my Dragonborn and the personality I gave her (I'm a sucker for the grumpyXgrumpy dynamic x3)

I also just find it amusing that I now have a werewolf couple and a vampire couple 🤣
