Had to make an analysis comic for one of my finals last semester and I decided to do mine on the similarities between Arby and Jessica's trauma and how differently it affected them!

I tried my best to mimic the style of the manuscript from the show and although it's not exactly the same I love how this turned out! It was tons of fun to make a comic using paints, ink and pencil instead of digitally for once!

(Also I absolutely hate academic writing so if the words feel a little clunky just ignore it lol)

My absolute favorite underrated trope is 'surprise murder/assassin siblings'. I've only ever seen this done in Hitman: Agent 47 with 47 and Katya and in Utopia with Jessica Hyde and Arby.

I guess I like it so much bc these people are like really messed up and have no stability or a good family and they're like "I'm an emotionless killing machine" but then, surprise, they have a sibling who's just like them in that sense. So now they have someone who can empathize and they have a bit more stability now too.

It's way better than 'the two murderers get together in the end'. It's just much more wholesome and more satisfying and subverts your expectations.
