Hey so on episode 65 during the stolen century when the judges are reeling off future sins, who commits which sin and when?

They willingly tear out their souls–Lup and Barry, becoming liches.

They shatter the very will of God– The IPRE, breaking the light of creation into pieces.

Who are they to take the fate of the world in their hands?– The IPRE, making the Grand Relics and releasing them into the world.

They’ll burn the world down around them– The IPRE, for causing the Relic Wars.

We must find the seventh harbinger– Lucretia, she wasn’t there for the trial.

There will be a necessary betrayal– Lucretia, erasing everyone’s memories.

They abandoned their family– Merle, leaving his wife and kids.

They run away from the town they kill– Taako, Glamor Springs.

They run away from the town they let die– Magnus, Raven’s Roost’s destruction by Kalen.

They kill so many goblins, such brutality, for what?– THB, Here There Be Gerblins is just full of gerblin cruelty.

They are a moment too late. The town will be engulfed– THB, Phandilion.

They killed him in the street, threw his body off a cliff, torn apart by dogs– THB, killing Barbra (a member of the Hammerheads.)

They take time from their rescue to steal from the bank– THB, looting from the Goldcliff Trust.

They assault the guardian of clay. They know they’ll forget– THB, fighting Roswell in the bank.

So much cruelty towards a child who loves them– THB, being rude to Angus.

He took the guards with them, left them for the monsters– Magnus, he knocked out the two guards and left them in the glass sphere, which got attacked by the Chimera.

A terrible choice, it is not theirs to make. -It is nobody’s to make.– The IPRE, deciding on the fate of the world during the finale.

Fact 7

In episode 6, the following seen plays after the Boys and Killian jump into the safety of the well as Phandalin is destroyed by the Phoenix Fire Guantlet;

Taako: Well this is going good!

Merle: We really suck at this, so far.

Magnus: You know, in retrospect, I regret helping that Kurtze kid?

Taako: I wish we’d killed Kurtze, I was just thinking!

Magnus: I wish we’d killed Kurtze too!

Taako: I wish we’d killed Kurtze.

Magnus: But you know what? A lot of woulda-coulda-shoulda. You know what I mean?

[Clint & Justin laughing]

Taako: That’s true. Wish in one hand, spit in the other.

Magnus: Yeah, hindsight. 20/20 and all that.

Taako: Wish in a hand and spit on it, right? Classic.

Later on in episode 48, the Temporal Chalice, after being unable to persuade the Boys to change their greatest regrets, the cup, as June, makes one more offer;

Griffin: [...] There’s a few bodies on the ground, and there are a couple of burned out wagons. There is one wagon that has fared a little bit better that has a cage in the back of it, and inside of that cage is Kurtze, the orc boy! And you realise you’re back at the very beginning of your adventure! Gundren Rockseeker has claimed the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet and is blazing a path towards Phandalin at this very moment. Killian is with you and you’ve just taken care of these slavers who took over this- who burned down this orc caravan and imprisoned Kurtze, the orc boy - who you freed - and ended up shooting Gundren and setting him off, destroying Phandalin; but you haven’t let Kurtze out yet! You’re standing in front of the cage and June says:

June: This is the last offer I-I have to make. It’s the last thing I can think of that the three of you could fix. You free Kurtze, and Kurtze, in an act of vengeance, sets off a series of events that destroys Phandalin. You can stop this from happening if you just don’t let him out of the cage. It’s my last offer, and, will any of you reconsider?

After a long debate, all three Boys say no.

Another fact, which is a comparatively lighter note, right after the above scene in episode 6, this exchange happens;

Taako: So....Can anybody levitate or anything?

[Griffin laughs loudly]

Magnus: I think we just live at the bottom of this well now.

Long after that, in the SDCC San Diego Live Show, this happens right after the Boys realize that getting out of a particular pit will be very hard to do;

Travis: But we don’t get hit!

Griffin: Yeah you don’t get hit by these spikes, it’s fuckin’ weird! Yeah!

Travis: Um… ok. [audience laughter] So… we live in the pit now.

The more things change, the more things stay the same, eh?

another forgotten fact: technically in the finale, the transmuted sapphire disk shouldn't have become a portal since there was a hole in the form of the well somewhere to interrupt the surface

That’s… that’s debatable. This assumes that the well would somehow be somehow safe from being turned into black glass.

What is more likely, than a simple well being somehow immune to the power of the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet, is that the well simply being just out of range of the blast radius.

If anything, the well would have been at the edge of the black glass circle. Otherwise, there would be no well at all.

So if absolutely everyone in the world except Lucretia and ex-members of the BoB weren't able to remember the relics or what they did, how were people still able to go after them/keep them? Lucas was innoculated, Wonderland was run by liches, the chalice was arguably protected by its own time shenanigans, and Lucretia has her staff, but that doesn't account for the other 3 artifacts.

The Grand Relics still have a thrall to them, even if their existence was erased from everyone else’s mind. Remember, back from before he was even inoculated, the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet still tried to thrall Taako into wielding it.

Griffin: As you approach the glove, Taako, I actually want you to make a, a Will check.

Justin: “Will”?

Griffin: A Wisdom, a Wisdom, check. Um, you’re - you’re making a Wisdom check. Um, there was a thing in the last game called a “Will,” uh, in the last edition, but you’re just sort of making a Wisdom check. Um -

Justin: Sixteen.

Griffin: Okay. Uh, [die roll] okay. The glove was contesting that, but it failed. You almost felt like the glove was trying to take you, take you over. It almost felt like the glove wanted you to come take it and, and put it on. Almost like it was speaking to you, like, you know, “Come put this dope glove on.”

Justin: Mm, okay, listen -

Griffin: But you beat that. You beat that check, and you sort of push those, you push that temptation aside.

Justin: Well, but yeah, but I just realized it was happening, right? I mean I knew, I felt that impulse as I was walking towards it.

Griffin: Yeah, yeah.

Justin: Hmm. That’s giving me second thoughts.

Taako: So, listen, the glove really wants me to put it on.

Thanks for making a blog like this. Question about the black glass circles caused by the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet. Has it ever been specified that it was made out of glass shards or solid glass like a mirror? I always imagined as shards making up a perfect circle, but with the theories being thrown about the newest episode- has it ever been confirmed.

The black glass circles have always been described as a circle of black glass. As in a solid circle of black glass.

Griffin: Because the uh, the entire town, where it used to be, you look around and for about a half-mile in, in diameter, all that you can see is black glass. A circle of black glass on the ground.

Griffin: […] this field of - this circle of black glass […]

Griffin: It’s a beautiful, clear night, uh, aside from the horrible carnage beneath, uh, which almost serves as a giant, black mirror for the night sky above.
