Pizza Time Theatre tokens (1982, 1981)
I found a super cheap coin bezel kit on Amazon so I turned one of my tokens into a necklace! Originally wanted to use my 80s CEC token but decided to go with my birth year instead :0)
It was originally really dark and dirty but look how shiny it is now!! Just some vinegar and baking soda worked wonders lol
arcade token stims ^_^!!!
Of course this photo is old as well, as I just can’t just leave things be.
Here’s my growing Chuck E. Cheese collection. It’s mostly Chuck E. right now but I hope to change that.
Waaaaaayyy back in 2010 we released Diego Bergia’s The LEPOS Bible, which documented Diego’s long-running LEPOS street art project. The LEPOS project defies easy categorization. Spanning multiple genres and media, the story of a lost alien named LEPOS trying to evade his primary colour wielding pursuers is a street art epic that is global in scope.
A book about a project this unique, deserved a unique launch, and so LEPOS: The Primary Invasion was born. What transpired over three days at Magic Pony in Toronto was a form of revisionist and fanciful history that imagined a world where Koyama Press was Koyama Games. In 1995 Koyama Games built a prototype arcade machine that never made it to production. Its star? LEPOS.
Replete with faux arcade tokens, SNES box art and a full-blown arcade cabinet, LEPOS: The Primary Invasion was a look at a time that never was, but will always be remembered fondly.
Fast forward to 2018 and LEPOS is back LEPOS: THE PRIMARY INVASION! This time the intergalactic adventurer LEPOS teams up with graffiti legends REVOK, CES, and GIANT in this limited edition premium publication inspired by 32-bit shoot 'em up arcade classics. Side scroll your way to Diego’s site to get your copy of LEPOS: THE PRIMARY INVASION!
