just realised yet another one parallel in arcane

what caught my attention is this moment where jinx plays a little makeover with isha and dyes her hair

jinx wishes she had moments like this with her sister and in the next episode we see her painting her face to look almost the same as vi’s tattoo (ofc the writing itself is more in jinx’s style but still)

she’s just a girl who wanted to be like her older sis when she was little – the same way isha now wants to be like jinx

Jinx's traces of make up after she has cried looks like Vi's face tattoo but backwards and they both have it in their left cheek.

Besides, her final look and outfit resembles her sister's in S1 and S2. The bandages covering her chest and the new hairstyle with the shaved undercut on the same side is also similar to Vi's.

After all it seems like Vi and Powder cannot coexist in the same timeline or dimension. When Powder lives, Violet doesn't. When Vi lives, Jinx decides not to. "Always with you, sis".

The parallels, the attention to detail and the design for each character in Arcane is insane. I can't believe this amazing series is over. I'm gonna miss these sisters like they were my relatives.

The additional symbolism of this scene that no one talks about

The shot of Jayce looking down from Piltover vs Viktor’s looking up from Zaun

Viktor’s Night being the antithesis of Jayce’s Day, the night coming when Viktor saves Jayce and the day shining when Jayce saves Viktor

Focusing on Jayce’s shoulders: his responsibilities vs Viktor’s cane: his disability. These are the main things the characters struggle with or against in their main character arcs. Both the shoulder and cane are also forms of support offered to the other carry the burden of being alone. They complete each other.

Despite their differences if not outright dichotomy, they both stand in the same place over the same drop for the same reason alone in the same halo shaped portal to a permanent last stop

Viktor takes hold of the rune stone, the magic that will both doom and save him, tying his fate with Jayce’s. Jayce puts down his hammer and grasps Viktor’s shoulders, choosing him over his duty, dream, and Piltover…. Any of that sound familiar:
