“    okay   ,   i   know   we   just   went   out   for   groceries   ,   but   i   ordered   takeout.    ”     there’s   a   twinge   of   excitement   in   her   voice   ,   one   knee   bent   to   tuck   close   to   her   chest   as   the   other   hung   off   the   couch.     “    by   the   way   ,   that   mattress   we   ordered   ?   yeah   ,   they   said   it   won’t   come   until   wednesday.    ”     brunette’s   words   fall   quietly   ,   lips   pursing   before   she’s   straightening   up   again   and   shrugging   in   return.     “    good   news   ,   though   !   the   couch   won’t   be   the   worst   to   sleep   on   ,   right   ?    ”
