The terrible seadragon (originally: A rettenetes vízisárkány) 2025 Acrylic on paper

I made this to fill the Trip to the Beach square of @fourseasonsbingo - even though there were other squares that as good as necessitate a trip to the beach (beach volleyball, watching the sunset on a beach), I decided that I wanted this picture by itself; those pictures will happen too when the time comes. Here are my prompt cards and all the fills I made for them so far.

So here you can see Andrei from Bloodlines, and he has modified himself a little for the purpose of water activities. I deliberately planned to post this on the anniversary of Bloodlines, because I wanted to post some kind of Bloodlines fanart on this day (not that I don't do so on many other days as well); and really, who better than one of my favourite characters, my beloved terrible pointy dragon? Also I wanted to paint an overcast sky with the Moon shining through a layer of fog and clouds, because it's November and every time the sky gets like this, I become so inspired, and I have been wanting this for so long.

Walking in the rain with red umbrella (originally: Séta az esőben piros ernyővel) 2025 Acrylic on paper

Another painting for @fourseasonsbingo, this time for the prompt Sharing an Umbrella! Here is my prompt list. The scanner ate all my delicate colours so much, especially on their heads, I was so upset, but there is nothing I can do.

Please note the "love umbrella" graffiti on the wall. I wanted to write their names, but it would have been too long on a picture this small, so instead I wrote their initials, and a coronet and mitre respectively (this is post-canon, so Strauss is now Prince of Los Angeles, he gets to have a coronet as a symbol in the graffiti :D). Even then I had to simplify the coronet and the mitre so much, because I needed this picture to be small enough to fit into the scanner so I could post it for the bingo. (Also that's actually fitting, because someone just scribbled it there.)

I just love them so much. I think of them every day of my life. And I spent so much time walking around in the game trying to select the perfect place for them to be walking when this picture takes place.

Sis mihi dux 2026 Watercolour and ink on paper

How do I even begin? I was so flustered when I was drawing the sketch for this and I realised I really was about to do this. But anyway. Let me tell you how it happened.

Lately, the prayer/exorcism formula written on St. Benedict medals has been on my mind for some reason. I quote part of it (I'm only quoting this, these are not my words, I do not mean even one of them):

"Crux sacra sit mihi lux, Non Draco sit mihi dux"

I translate:

"May the holy cross be a light to me, May the Dragon not be a leader to me."

(Leader in this case could be either in the sense of a ruler or in the sense of a guide.)

Now, as for the former, as you may have guessed, I have no use for such kinds of illumination, I am indeed very comfortable in the dark. However, as for the latter, I can't help but think of a certain great and terrible Dragon whom I would very much like to accept the guidance of. He did offer, after all. And he would teach me such wonderful atrocities. And (even if I do say so myself) I think he would really like the blasphemy of me having painted this, and that I'm putting him in such a satanic position.

I gave him wings for the sake of the composition, but realistically, I think he can make himself wings if he wants. He can make a meat house, I'm sure he can manage wings.

The butterflies represent both the unbound soul and the metamorphosis Andrei facilitates.

Miksa <3 Andris 2025 Ink on paper; digital So I made this for the first day of the All Ships Week organised by @ficwip . It will go with a piece of writing I will upload imminently, which is intended for the fairytale tag. (I'm pausing Rattober until All Ships Week is over. Don't worry, I will complete all the Rattober prompts in October still.)

I originally wanted this to be a wood carving filled in with coloured wax, which is how it is traditionally done. But my hands aren't very well right now, and they refused to participate in the project of carving any wood whatsoever. So I made it with ink and a wood texture I took from pexels. I don't know if the method has a name in English, but it's a way that wood or horn or bone can be decorated, by carving the pattern into it and filling in the low spaces by pressing wax into it with the help of a heated knife.

The names I wrote on the piece and in the title are the Hungarian version of the given names of Strauss and Andrei.

I made this for my @fourseasonsbingo square Caterpillars and Butterflies. Here you can see the rest of my prompts and the fills I made for them.

Of course this is Archbishop Andrei, my wonderful horrible dragon, offering the blessing of metamorphosis. Whether that is a blessing is... very dependent on the situation, of course. But look at what a wonderful monster he made of himself! Who better to entrust with one's body?

I have known I wanted to do this painting ever since I got the bingo cards; it was an extremely Andrei prompt. However, since I realised that Andrei's beautiful ceratopsid frill is also a mitre, I have also especially wanted to paint something that also celebrates his frill. So this time I made sure it's all in frame. <3
