What I mean is that she always have something that she ties main characters with to the "higher" beings of the plot.

Now in acotar...we only have rhys do that. All the other characters were either mortal(archerons) or "normal" fae and I mean by normal is that they are not like rhys or aelin or byrce connected to higher beings of their lore/history.

Now...we finally learned history of acotar like we do with cc and tog. The lore.

So who is connected? Rhys. And I dont buy that. That he is the only one. Bc lets face it...there is a reason archerons are archerons. Which I talked about Archeron name in this post.

I have some thoughts.

Archerons:

Fionn and Papa archeron are related. Also papa archeron name IS fionn.

Mama archeron and Fionn are related(?) idk.

Dorian and Valg situation and Archerons have Daglan blood. Would be sick if this happened.

They are from The Mothers lineage like I talked about in this post. (My bet is on my crack theory bc I need this to be true lmfao.)

Azriel:

Big possibility Fionn...bc of shadowpowers if Im right and fionn was also a shadowsinger. But it might not be blood related but just...power. shadowsinger power connecting them and that's why he could hold both gwydion and tt. imo it is the latter.

Hell and he is also connected to hel like Hunt. He has hel blood in him. Hunt= hunts....azriel kinda hunts and questionimg to get info...kinda fits if you think about it. @silverlinedeyes made a whole post about illyrians and hel if you wanna read it.

Connection to wild hunt and first gods...I will write more detailed post soon

Here is another controversial take

Someone posted this, and while people are praising and and I love this, I also see the other side of this, and again I am on the side where i see logic and what realism in things.

Here is my take on this

Except : Feyre is High lady only in titled, not in magic— and even so if it wasn't just a titled— Rhys still hold the reigns of the court. Shown in the way no one told her she would die, because Rhys told them all to stay quiet, and you know both illiria and court of nightmares don't see her as such, unless Rhys says something (a high lord is chosen by magic, she wasn't, Rhys, a male choose her. She doesn't have or show that dominance that forces ppl to submit)

Except : Nesta didn't participated in the rite because she set out to dismantle the way of the Illyrians. She was thrown into the rite as a plot point, and was place in a situation she didn't caused herself. While she and the other participated and became the first woman to pass the rite, it wasn't because they wanted to, or becaused the Illyrians change their way, nothing was dismantle there. ( They still haven't change as far as we know)

So even if Elain does end up breaking the bond, that is said to be unbreakable, it wouldn't be in the way that this poster is expecting it to be broken. It would likely be done in a way where it's more of a loopwhole, or is needed to move plot forward. Some would and will say to me " taking these choices away from them so a choice" and to that I said. I suppose I made that choice, but really it was Sarah who made that choice first, Is not my fault you didn't truly see it Specially Nesta, while I like to think she did break barriers, she and the other didn't change anything within the Illyrian society, they a still misogynist, they still do what they do, and they still don't listen to shit. Caused at the end of the day, Illyrians didn't allowed them there, they were put there, and to the ILLYRIANS this was breaking their laws. Dismantling would mean, you're making a change, that your actions or what you did helped change the way this is done, and as great as these accomplishments were... nothing changed and these women do nothing with their agency, Feyre does nothing with being high lady, other than do a paint lesson in Velaris, like velarias needs more help, and the Illyrian have not change, if anything making Valkyries isn't changing the Illyrians is making a your own rules, and is mostly benefiting the women in the library, not the Illyrian women who are being Oppressed. hopefully these new rules stays and included them eventually too.

Since (haven’t read CC yet) 3 Maasverse main characters thus far are artists in one way or another (something I love in fandoms and especially these/Maasverse)

With:

Aelin the musician (composer/piano forte player) & appreciator of the arts. Fashionista. & semi-ballerina.

Nesta the dancer (a lil lovely scene tidbit I thought was freeing and mostly fun)

And of course Feyre THE Artist (& best example as this is crucial to how she sees the world).

Especially with the latter 2 in ACOTAR & our Archerons; even their father was a wood carver/sculptor… (let’s stick with the latter phrase… cause it’s too soon for carver to be heard as anything other than CREEPY “bone carver”😅) … so that leaves us with one; Elain.

Random HC here but: what if Elain’s a singer?

Specifically thought of this because of a certain other “singer in the series” ;-) *psst* Azriel the “shadowsinger” cause while I know that’s not what they meant, it sounds fun to me :-)

You know, when it comes to the Archeron sisters mother, I get very conflicted. One part of me feel bad for Feyre and Elain because they were neglected by their mother, she saw Elain only as a beautiful bride who won't bring anything to the family and she didn't care for Feyre existence until she was in her death bed, only to put the responsibility of their whole family on her shoulders... but another part of me is glad she didn't care, because there's this scene in acosf were Nesta is recalling how her grandmother helped her mother "train" Nesta to be the "perfect high class lady", and she says that her grandmother used to be very cruel in her trainings, calling Nesta a "failure" and a "waist of time" everytime she made a mistake and beating her to the point were she still bare some scars in her hands from it. She says that when her grandmother died, Elain cried because she was never the focus of her grandma's cruelty, since she wasn't being trained, and Feyre was too young to understand what was happening. Yeah this whole situation makes me sad and conflicted, because they basically grew without a mother, but on other hand, they also dodged a bullet because of it.

UGHHHHH non you are so right

Like, Nesta clearly had so much trauma from their mother and how she raised her definitely impacted Nesta’s entire personality and life. So, on the one hand yeah it’s great that feyre and elain avoided that.

BUT, I’m sure they felt their mother’s neglect of them, and suffered for it. We know Feyre did, and we know how much that promise burdened her. I wonder what Elain feels re: their mother??

I can imagine Elain resented/now resents only being thought of as worthy for marriage, and I wonder if that’s part of why she seems so uncomfortable with the mating bond? Like, her mother treated her like nothing more than someone to marry off, and now the mating bond has sort of...treated her similarly? Because it was not her choice.

Look. Say what you want about Lucien and Azriel, but neither one of them strikes me as what Elain needs at the moment. I want her to make a CHOICE in love that is entirely her own. And I know people argue that the bond can be a choice, but we also need to respect why for her, it might always feel like a burden. She’s always had choices made for her via the expectations she felt she HAD to fulfill. And yes, Elain needs to grow enough to subvert those expectations, but we already see her doing that!

I’m excited for Elain’s book not because of a ship but because it’s going to be genuinely wonderful to see her learning to make choices and stand by her decisions.

Headcanon

Elain often forgets that as fae with magic healers, the inner circle doesn’t really need to be seen to for small pains and aches after training. Still she enjoys patching them up using the medicinal herbs that she’s growing in her garden. Azriel walks straight to her once he finishes training for the day and patiently waits while she bandages him up, Cassian winks as he strolls by, whistling.

I think it’s around this time 3 years ago I started drawing digitally, so I did a redraw of the Archeron sisters I did when I started out.

I’ve certainly gone a long way since then, but I’m definitely trying my hardest to improve my rendering and colour-picking. 

Lots of area to grow on, but this nice redraw was good exercise for me to see the difference in drawing and skills.
