how does the process of novel writing compare to your typical story format for you? the plotting, the character arcs—how do you tackle, personally?

the main difference is the disparity of production. uploading chapter per chapter is easy for my engagement and makes me feel good about the project, but with a novel i'm looking at the whole thing in one document, one i don't really show til it's done. as for how i tackle it, basically the same as anything else - i have writing goals every one or two thousand or so for hyrde, but after that i treat them all basically the same; and writing itself comes so naturally to me besides, so there's no process shift.

Happy STS <33 What if I turned the n3xt y34r duo into cats. What kinda cats would they be? Also would it help or hinder them in their raging against the machine?

been a while since i worked on n3xt y3ar, hopefully a reboot is on the way! in the meantime, i think juno would be a very tired mixed maine coon (discovered in a dumpster) and shepherd would be a calico (in the same dumpster, of course). as for the second question, i haven't played stray yet, but because of it simply existing i have a feeling the lux siblings, if they were cats, could still rage against the machine.

hmmm, i don't think i have, but honestly i oughta. i'll think about it going forward :)

what's your favorite type of flower?

i'm quite partial to purple flowers, and a lot of really pretty ones are also poisonous i've found. hard to pick, but i like larkspurs :)

who’s plot line would you change, if you could? in terms of, who do you wish could’ve had a “what if?” and what would that what if be?

oh lord... basically all of them. in the rewrites i'm working on, a lotta bad stuff goes down. i want basically every mc to get better than what they got (not all the endings are sorted though, and some have happy endings planned, but not without hardship). shepherd, blue (of an unintroduced story), sigrid (new tfadh), virgo (short story), roshan and kare, among many others i can't think of right now

do you ever base your ocs off people you know in real life?

not consciously, no, i don't to create a narrative where someone is tied to it against their will and with my knowledge. but, of course, experiences bleed through the paper, so i'm almost certain most of my characters are influenced by people i know (a lot of them, however, hold traits of mine, to help me connect with them)
