Summary:
Steve Rogers is a travel blogger and freelance artist. He spends his days driving around the country and experiencing as much as he possibly can, before going home to Peggy… the small travel trailer that he remodeled himself a few years back.
Then one day his truck starts to act up in the middle of Eastern Oregon in one of the worst towns he’s ever seen. Seriously… who names a town Burns unironically? His mechanic says it’ll be two weeks before the proper part can be rebuilt for his truck. Hopefully he can spend that two weeks not falling hopelessly in love with his mechanic and the man’s way-too-smart-for-her-own-good daughter.
When all you know is going, it doesn’t work to fall for a man used to staying.

Then a stark reminder of that awful pain sends him hurdling backwards and forces him to deal with emotions he long buried.
As he learns to cope, he also learns to help another dealing with very similar demons.

Do you have any followers in the Chicago area that would be interested in going to the Ace Con in Oct? I have two Saturday tickets that I'm willing to give for whatever someone could offer. Haven't found anyone to buy them and I don't want them to go to waste. (Ace gave them to me as a voucher but I live on the west coast)
^^^ for anyone interested! Ace Comic Con Chicago, 13 October, contact @archofimagine :)
archofimagine replied to your post “Today I stopped myself from snapping a photo of Little Foot with her...”
You know what I've always considered doing? My nieces and nephews are little ones that my favorite grandma never got to meet (she died when oldest niece was 3 months). I've got plans to have a blog that is essentially a continuous letter to her, including pictures that she would love to see. Maybe something like that would help you cope with moments like this. Start a private blog, where you put those pictures and a quick comment to your mom.
This is an excellent idea. Thank you for your input on this. I think I will do this. I hope that Little Foot (and all the kids) can appreciate it when they grow older.
