Note: Because the words “locus” and “loci” confused me at first, I’ll explain for anyone else. It basically means “location” or "foundation.” The idea of the characters each inherently possessing a particular quality originates from the concept of “Buddha-nature.”

Ace, serious: Tell me, Mother. What exactly is "Agito"? Ace: How do I become Agito? I want to be Agito to save everyone! Arecia: You cannot become Agito unless you hold a locus of power. Ace: A locus of power? Arecia: Kindness, Knowledge, Valor, Innocence, Tenacity, Discernment... These various types of powers can be found within people. Arecia: It is my belief that one can become Agito by properly wielding such power. Ace: So, if I have that kind of power, I could save everyone? Arecia: That's right. However... You only govern one of them. Ace, dismayed: Only one... Well, then what should I do? Ace: Even if I'm called part of the legendary Class Zero, that won't help them! Arecia: You shouldn't feel so discouraged. Most cadets don't even have one. Arecia: That's what makes you special. Arecia: Besides, I think it may be impossible to contain every locus of power within one human vessel. Ace: So you're saying that there's no simple means of salvation... Ace: The battle has begun. Izana: I mean, he only said your name to be polite, but it's still crazy that he mentioned Queen and the Rep, isn't it? Ace: Right... Those two are strong. However, strength doesn't necessarily lead to Agito. Machina: Being family-oriented and attentive are unexpected conditions to become Agito... Ace: If that's what you mean, then a different name comes to mind instead of those two.

Final Fantasy Agito: Gaiden 2, Chapter 1 Characters: Player, Miyu, Machina, Rem, Lean, Qator, Sice, Trey, Arecia Note: Rather than focusing on multiple different stories, this gaiden recounts the end of another cycle. It gets referred to as the “third cycle” of FF Agito, but I don’t think it’s literally the third cycle of the world. I’m not sure where exactly it belongs in the overall timeline. All I know is that this is the one that was supposed to finally lead to the arrival of the true Agito had the game been allowed to continue.

Thanks to the cadets' efforts and Zhuyu's sacrifice, the White Tiger l'Cie Nimbus was finally taken out.

Final Fantasy Agito: First Cycle, Chapter 0 Characters: Miyu, Khalia, Ace. Arecia Summary: Miyu leads the cadets on their first mission to clean up the region’s sudden monster problem. Accompanied by Arecia, Ace is introduced to the cadets. Note: I'm missing screenshots for this cycle until halfway through chapter 2. There's a transcription online, but they didn't break up the dialog to indicate how much was spoken in one text box at a time. You'll see what I mean. I can't even tell you what the scene settings are in many cases. I also don't have any of the side conversations (and if I do, I don't know where they belonged usually), so some of these chapters are going to be really short. Like this one. So it's just one post.

Agito Cadet Representative, Miyu Kagirohi, was in an interview with the Dominion's Executive Chairman, Khalia Chival VI. The Chairman holds the Rubrum government's highest decision-making position. In addition to being the Chairman of the "Consortium of Eight", he is also the head of the Agito training academy, Akademeia...

[Khalia] --Miss Miyu. There seem to be more and more exceptional cadets gathering here at Akademeia lately.

Exterminations are dangerous, but you'll be helping the people, and it'll be a good opportunity for you to experience live combat. If you decide to leave it to the military, you won't be putting yourselves in danger, but you also won't reap many benefits. With that said, I'd like for us to reach a decision by popular vote. The decision code is "Opening Bit." Cadets, express your will in accordance with your beliefs!

Chapter 0, Act 3 For the Safety of the People

[Miyu] Attention! By your decision, we will carry out an extermination of the monsters. We will destroy the monsters around the border and ensure the safety of the people. Having received intel of the Empire's invasion plan, behind closed doors, the Dominion began working on how to deal with them. And so, the Cadet Representative, Miyu Kagirohi, under the directive of Khalia of the Consortium of Eight, came up with a plan for Akademeia's defense...

[Miyu] --It would seem the enemy is planning to use a new weapon called the "Crystal Jammer" to seal our magic. If the legion and the cadets lose their magic, they're as good as useless. Is there any way for us to get ourselves out of this predicament? Class Zero's Ace. Sorcery's Dr. Arecia. Please, tell us your thoughts.

[Arecia] Hm, yes... Ace will be your key in this battle. This boy won't be affected by the magic seal. He's received adjustments, you see.
