When logan regresses, he tends to choose a different side or scheduling mishaps happen or whatever the case may be, but typically virgil never watches logan.

it hurts a bit, but he doesn't like overstepping or making little lo upset— i mean... whenever he sees him in the room, logan literally runs off— so he decides to just be less of a caregiver and more of a cool big brother. he can manage that.

that is until one day a side asks virgil to watch logan real fast while they do some errands. easy enough! they can play with legos and watch tv. virgil can do that without making logan upset.

that is until logan mumbles a quiet little "sorry".

virgil glances over at him. "What was that?"

"'M sorry," logan repeats again. he's fiddling with a lego brick. he's always been a little more shy (and emotional) when he's regressing.

Virgil tilts his head, setting down the instructions he was holding. "Why are you sorry, baby?"

"I know you don't like when I regress..."

Virgil's eyes go wide and he sits there for a second trying to figure out what Logan's saying. "What? "

Logan doesn't look up at him, continuing to stare down this lego brick as if it was his life's purpose. "You don't like watching me."

"What are you talking about?? I love watching you!"

Logan purses his lips. "You always give me to someone else or, um... like when patton said you were gonna watch me on sunday it ended up being roman. and that always happens. you don't play toys with me or watch stuff with me. whenever its time for me to go to bed you never put me to sleep it's always janus—"

the more logan rambles on about all the ways virgil "doesn't like him" he realises that while he was trying to make logan feel more comfortable, since he assumed logan didn't like him, logan has been doing the same thing to him this entire time. logan though VIRGIL didn't like HIM!

"it's okay..." logan voice cracks mid sentence, "i'm not upset." he's very upset. "I just wanted to say sorry... we don't have to play or anything if you dont want to. it's okay." logan's bottom lip trembles and virgil can tell he's going to start crying, but if logan starts crying, then virgil's gonna start crying and he really doesnt want to while he's trying to fix the biggest mistake he's ever made in his life—

"oh my god. it's very much not okay, ducky," virgil blinks back tears. logan's eyebrows crease and he looks over at virgil. "I should never have made you feel that way."

"what?" now it's logan's turn to be confused. curling up on himself. he looks so confused and sad and scared. virgil wants to beat himself over the head with a broom handle.

"I'm so sorry, logan. i love watching you i— i thought you didn't want me to, which is very stupid of me," virgil frowns. "I thought maybe you didn't want me to watch you. I was ... badly attempting to make you feel comfortable."

logan stares at him, trying to process what he's saying, before his entire face crumbles. "so you do like me?"

"oh my god," virgil can't help himself from crying along side logan, "yes, yes, little star, i love you. so so much. im so sorry."

virgil scoops logan up into a big hug, basically squeezing him to death.

Janus and Logan love to tease and make fun of each other. They're really close and know they're both joking.

One day, Janus teasingly treats Logan as a child, but the soft speaking voice and the words he says causes Logan to regress . And now Janus has an actual child Logan to take care of.

Little Logan: im the baby roach and Remus' is the papa roach and ummm... janus is the dada snake! Snakeys and roach are friends, right, Ro-ro?

Roman: ... I think snakes might eat a cockroach...?

Logan, staring up at Roman with big wet eyes, fearful: dada wanna eat me???

Little Logan who loves to be called various bug pet names ("my little snail", "honey bee", "(centi)pedey", "beetle")

While trying to get Logan to take a bath (and Logan running all over the place to avoid it), Remus calls him a "scuttling little roach". Everyone gasps at him, shocked that he would call Logan that—

until Logan squeals excitedly & babbles on about cockroach facts!

THE SIDES (+ extra) & THEIR PACIS ! (headcanons)

Not all of these will have images! Some of them will if I can find an example of what I am imagining :)

Roman - obviously, very disney themed or prince themed. He'd prefer red pacifiers, because it's his colour !!!, but will make an exception if it's a character he likes.

The 1st 1 is a Queen of Hearts themed paci, but I think Roman would love all the red details and especially the little crown. I also think Roman loves lilo & stitch (more than usual when he's regressing) & would have a blue paci if it means he can have stitch on his paci.

(Also I think stitch reminds him of his brother Remus and he loves his brother! Even if big him denies it)

Orange - we haven't met him, but I think he loves orange juice and probably has a paci covered in oranges. (Big him is so upset everyone keeps comparing him to an orange and gets even more upset that little him loves oranges).

Janus - has to have a snake on it. If it doesn't have a snake on it he cries and cries and cries until Roman/whoever summons a new one/adds one. Unfortunately, I cannot find a paci that has snakes on it :(

It can be any colour and decorated any way, but it has to have a snake (or multiple, preferably). He also loves when his pacis are the colour of his caregiver(s)!!

I did find this one by bellesbinkies & I think it's right up his alley anyway :3 just imagine there's a snake on it, or janus will wail.

Remus - bright green and covered in as many charms and jewels as he can put on it. Once it becomes unusable and he starts all over with a new one!! I think he has a gir from invader zim center piece or a skelanimal (most likely lolita the dolphin).

He also 100% somehow chews through the all rubber pieces of his binkie . No one knows how he does it.

Patton - FROGS !!! He most likely owns like 20 pacis and theyre all different. One has a frog centerpiece and another one has a dog and another one has a rabbit and another one has a cat— he needs a million (even if logan tells him its impossible to own a million). He likes to switch out through out the day, he doesn't want any paci feeling unloved !!!

I bet he also loves pacis with shakers!

Logan - probably has around 3 or 4 pacis that he switches through, but his most used is something that looks like the one below. He also has his CG (or himself) glue on little letters that spells out "little star" :)

The rest of his pacis are dark blue with various themes, like doctor who and ocean animals! He has a bingo paci too (He loves bluey!)

Virgil - i found this one and this is SO virgil. He probably goes all out for his binkies !! He wants his binkie to be "spoopy", but not super scary or else he gets really scared (remus once tried gifting him one that was just a little too much for baby virgil & he couldnt sleep alone for weeks).

He uses one paci at a time, usually for months, but once he gets tired of it, he will swap it out.

EXTRA !!

C!Thomas - has a steven universe paci. It's red with a yellow shaker full of little stars (like steven's shirt)

Emile Picani - a snoopy paci that's black and white with little charms

Remy/Sleep - all black paci, covered in little "z"s with the words "sleepy baby" on it.

I know there's so much talk abt logan regressing & bring more in tune w/ his feelings, which is so real & true, but i don't see any talk about how he might have trouble putting those feelings into words because he's young

Little logan being able to know when he's sad or angry or overwhelmed, but not having the words like big logan to explain why he's upset 2 his caregiver/older sibling/etc.

(Cue Logan getting angry or upset & shouting "i hate you!!" & immediately feeling guilty afterwards. He just cant word the big feelings he's having)

Little logan loves cuddles believe me. He does everything 2 get cuddled esp by virgil. Virgil could b laying down on his phone on the couch & logan will waddle up & collapse ontop of him

little logan def stomps his feet & huffs when hes upset. janus tries everything not to coo at him when he does it, but sometimes he just can't help himself.
