I sat drumming my fingers against my beer bottle, the now warm liquid not suited to my taste, lost in thought at the many ways I could try and persuade Derek to trust me, it was easy to get Scott to trust me as I was Allison's young aunt, I was a 'surprise oops' baby when my parents thought they were done having kids, so I was close to Allison then Kate or Chris were.
As the daughter of Gerard Argent, spending time in Beacon Hills wasn't unusual for me as I grew up learning the art of hunting Supernatural creatures and the Hunter's code was imbedded into my mind the moment I could talk – We hunt those that hunt us, though I never liked that code and neither did Allison, so we came up with our own code - We protect those that can't protect themselves.
But unlike Scott and his little band of misfits, Derek never particularly liked me let alone trusted me, as I was an Argent.
A hunter.
Our interactions became increasingly strained the moment we all found out that Kate was responsible for the fire that killed almost all the Hale family members, it created a chasm between us.
Standing to my feet, my eyes flickered over to where Derek stood with Scott, probably discussing whether to trust me or not, their intense focus and commanding presence filled the room – a reminder of the power they both held.
Fiddling with my necklace, I walked towards them with confidence, just as I reached them and gained both of their attention – I lightly stumbled over a loose floorboard of the burnt remains of the Hale house.
I was immediately caught by Derek; he looked into my eyes and then at my chest – his gaze lingering a little too long before he helped me back to my feet.
"Thanks."
A small grunt escaped from his lips as he turned back to face Scott, who gave me a small look but said nothing as I straightened up and walked away without looking back.
This was the first of many encounters, I had caught the Alpha's attention and now I needed to maintain it, I didn't want to become a beta in his pack but having his trust could benefit an alliance that Chris and I have being trying to build since moving to Beacon Hills.
Days had passed, I had officially inserted myself into Derek's life – well, I actually hanged around Allison and Scott, a lot.
Everywhere he and his pack went, I was there, sometimes in the background speaking to Deaton or in the foreground beside Scott as we battle whatever supernatural creature threaten Beacon Hills.
Wherever he turned, I was there, it may drive him to insanity, but I believe my plan was working.
At this very moment, I stood in the bathroom of the room I occupied at Chris's home, it was the furthest room away from Chris's room but close to Allison's.
I heard the window slowly open, a small smirk dance across my face as Derek Hale now stood in the shadows of my room, he could see into the bathroom by the small crack of the door.
I began to painstakingly remove each item of clothing, starting with my shirt which covered the scars that I have acquired over the years of being a hunter, turning on the shower to allow the steam of the hot water block my line of sight.
Derek would either need to step closer or to make his presence known, I pretended to turn around to peer into the shadows, making my heartbeat skip a little – pretend that I was a little 'spooked'.
Once fully naked, I stepped into the shower and allowed the water to wash away all the dirt and grime from the previous hunt, the floral scent of rose and jasmine filled the room, and I washed my body and then my hair.
The bathroom door swung open, I masked my smile with a look of concern as I reached for my gun, which was immediately yanked from my hands as Derek looked at me with a mix of annoyance and confusion on his face.
"I heard that you wanted to talk."
I arched an eyebrow, feigning frustration. "Yes. I wanted to speak later, not right now as I am otherwise not decent."
Hesitation was written across his face. "I have other important things to focus on than be at your beck and call, Argent, I am not a dog."
His annoyance was evident, but I could see the cracks forming in his little façade, as his eyes lingered a little too long on my naked body – well, what he could see.
I stepped out of the shower, my movements slow and teasing as I placed both hands on my hips which made the water droplets drip onto the tiled floor.
"You're right," I replied, motioning towards the towel that was close to him. "Mind passing me a towel?"
Derek quickly grabbed the towel, handing it over to me and our fingers touched only for a second, there was a look lust and hunger masking in his face – he was giving in, slowly.
"I know what you are playing, Argent," Derek hissed, pulling me close to him. "I already was played by one hunter; I am not going to fall for another."
I arched an eyebrow. "And what, am I playing?"
"Just say what you want to say, Argent," Derek grumbled, our bodies still close. "Before I lose my patience."
I rolled my eyes, huffing lightly. "I have been observing your little pack," I replied, keeping my voice steady and confident. "I noticed that there is a growing discord amongst Isaac, Boyd and Erica about the way you are managing certain things, especially when it comes to Scott and his friends. Their dissatisfaction could lead to one of them attacking and taking your Alpha status if this isn't addressed properly."
Derek arched an eyebrow. "And what would you, an Argent, suggest?"
"Your betas need to feel heard and valued –..."
"They are valued, I allow them to go on missions alone."
I placed a finger on his lips. "Being heard and valued is different then taking on responsibilities as betas, Derek. To them, you place Scott and his friends over them. They may be werewolves, but you forget, Derek, they're teenagers too. They are bound to do something reckless to get your attention, whether it be good or bad."
I took a daring step closer, the fresh scent of the rose and jasmine still lingered on my wet body, I could see that it was starting to effect his senses.
"Perhaps I underestimated you..."
I let out a small laugh, our chests practically touching now. "It's a habit. I have that effect on people, I'm afraid."
Derek's breathing grew heavier, his body betraying the stoic façade he was trying to desperately maintain.
"Fuck it," He growled, his hands gripped my waist and pulled me closer, his lips smashing against my own.
His lips trailed down my neck, each kiss deliberate as my wet hair stuck to his clothing, I let out a small moan as my fingers began to remove his clothing, throwing them in random directions.
I felt his harden member press against my inner thigh, I knew he could sense my arousal, as my hands played with his hardened cock, Derek grabbed a fistful of my hair.
"Don't be a tease." He snarled, as I hissed out in pain from his grip on my hair, that was pulling on my scalp.
Within seconds, we were on the bed as Derek's lips found my own again, the kiss lasting longer than before and much more intense.
With as much strength as I could muster, I flipped us over, positioning myself on top of him as I took him in smooth and delicate motion, Derek's groan of satisfaction was immediate, his hands gripping my waist tightly as I began to move.
The sensation was intoxicating, is this why Allison loves Scott? Obviously not just because of the sex but if this is what it felt like, boy was I missing out.
I rode him with a precise rhythm, every movement was controlled – I could feel his body react to the movements, each shift, each twist and the sound of his groans sounded like a sweet melody to my ears.
Derek sat up as I continued to ride him, feeling every pulse, every tremor of pleasure as I adjusted my angle, finding a new way to make our connection stronger and more intense.
The room was filled with the sounds of our passion, his groans, my moans of pleasure and the hard sound of skin slapping against skin, we were both near the edge – I could feel it and I was sure that he could smell it.
"God... you feel amazing..." Derek gasped, his voice breaking with the strain of mounting pleasure.
"Then let go," I whispered, leaning my forehead against his. "Release the pressure and feel everything, Derek."
His eyes fluttered closed, his breaths were in ragged gasps as I continued with relentless rhythm, pushing us both to the brink.
"Yes... Yes..." He moaned, as with one final thrust his body tensed as he released in one deep and breath-taking growl.
Derek covered my mouth as I cried out, riding my own orgasm as someone was in the hallway – probably Allison returning from her date with Scott.
As the intensity faded, I collapsed on the bed beside him, Derek's arm wrapped around me to pull me close.
I counted his breathing, when I believe that he was asleep, my fingers brushed along his jawline.
"You're going to break my heart... I know it." I whispered, sighing. "Sucks to be human... But I love you, Derek Hale."
Sleep finally won, as I laid my head on Derek's chest, the sound of his heartbeat lulling me to sleep, I swear I could hear Derek whisper.
"I love you too..."
