You're dreaming, you know that you're dreaming because there is no way in hell that you were running through the woods of Beacon Hills, you glance at your reflection – a coyote stared back.
Another reason why you knew you were dreaming, you weren't a Supernatural creature, you were human – who had the ability to dream of future events.
At first it freaked you out since you dreamt of Supernatural events that happened ever since you tagged along with Scott and Stiles to find the dead body in the woods, which happened to be Laura Hale which ended up getting Scott bitten by the Alpha werewolf, you were also bitten but your wounds never healed Supernaturally, then came Matt Daehler and the Kanima, though Stiles always had his suspicions about Matt from day one.
Then you warned Derek and Scott about the Alpha Pack and the Darach, which was coming to Beacon Hills, as you dreamt of Erica and Boyd's death plus the return of Cora Hale, this gave your friends an advantage but still, Erica died at the hands of the Alpha Pack – mostly by Kali and Ennis.
You dreamt of how Scott turns into a 'true Alpha' which happens when he saves you from being used as a shield by Miss Blake/Darach, Deucalion leaves with his eyes intact and whatever is left of his dignity.
Deaton spoke of the Clairvoyants or 'psychics' as the modern world would call them, similar to Banshees, clairvoyants had the ability to perceive events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact.
You had a feeling that this coyote was once human, as it stalked the boarders of a house that had seen better days, you literally could sense the familiarity of it, you slightly whimper as a man steps out and stares into the darkness – you hide in the bushes, as a wave of guilt washes over you.
You jolt as there was a loud crack in the air, the man held a loaded shot gun in the air, it was to scare you off – and you ran not wishing to be shot.
Running back to the den, you snuggle up against the jacket that looked to belong to a child, as sleep took over.
.
"So, you think this coyote is human?"
You groan, leaning up against your locker as you filled both Allison and Lydia in on your dream. "I know how weird it sounds, but yes."
"Do you know who the human supposedly is?" Allison asked, closing her own locker as she avoided Scott like a plague. "I could get my dad to have a look."
Your eyebrows furrowed together as you tried to remember any details of the den, you remembered little pieces, especially a worn photo of a mother and two little girls – sisters, the backpack that seen better days with a name that was barely readable.
"Malia." You whispered, tucking a lock of hair behind your ear, as you locked eyes with an Asian girl that walked passed as the principal chattered to her. "Malia Tate."
...
During Mr Yukimura's class, you immediately notice that Stiles was on the verge of having a mental breakdown as he began to realise that he couldn't read, quickly making an excuse both you and Scott take him to the boy's locker room.
"How do you know that you're awake, Sti?" You spoke softly, earning a small look from Scott as you repeated the same words Stiles spoke the first time you dreamt of the Kanima. "Count your fingers, Stiles."
Both you and Scott glanced at Stiles's hands, counting his fingers with him and when he reached the tenth one, you squeezed his hand in comfort.
"See, you're awake."
"I'm awake," He repeated, looking up at Scott, who was worried about the mental stability of his friend. "I'm awake..."
The next few days started to get worse, especially for Stiles as he was beginning to dream even when he was awake, even when you tried telling that he was awake, his hand automatically wrote telling him to 'wake up'.
The pack surrounded a picnic table, you sat between Stiles and Isaac, as Lydia sat between Scott and Allison. "What do you call when someone comes back from a near death experience and begins to see things?"
"And can't tell the difference between what's real and what's not." Stiles added, poking at the food on his plate, not really feeling hungry.
"And being haunted by demonic visions of dead relatives?" Allison spoke, she had confided in you and Lydia about her hallucination of seeing Kate and her mom trying to kill her, mainly Kate.
"They'll be locked up, cause everyone would think they're insane." Isaac replied, with a small shrug towards the pack's disapproved looks.
"Can you at least try and be helpful?"
Isaac let out a small growl. "I spent nearly all my childhood being locked in a freezer as a punishment," He grunted, rolling his eyes. "Forgive me for not being as helpful as you want, Stilinski,"
"Seriously dude, are you still milking that?"
"Stiles!" You yelled, shaking your head at him. "I know that you're exhausted and scared of what's happening you, to all three of you, but that's no excuse to being an asshole towards Isaac, especially something as traumatic as that!"
You noticed that Scott approaches a hesitant Kira, tilting your head as something was brewing between them, even Lydia could see it as well.
When Scott mentions about the word 'Bardo' which was the Tibetan word for the 'in between state."
A state between life and death.
...
After speaking to Deaton and finding out that the door between Scott, Stiles and Allison's minds were still ajar, which is why they were experiencing such dark and powerful hallucinations, their subconscious was trying to communicate with them to close it.
Sheriff Stilinski pulled up in the cruiser, his eyes never leaving Scott. "Dad?" Stiles called, stopping shortly. "What are you doing here?"
"I need your help," He spoke, turning to face Scott. "Well, actually I need Scott's help."
"Why me?"
Sheriff Stilinski sighed. "Because eight years ago an entire family died in a car accident, one of the young girls, Malia, her body was never found at the scene and the case never went anywhere," He spoke, handing over a photo of a mother and two little girls – you shivered as it was the same people from your dream as the coyote. "There is enough evidence to make me strongly think that a werewolf caused the accident and dragged her body away. I was thinking if you, Scott, could get a lock on her scent and maybe help find her body... it may provide some clue and also maybe Mr Tate would sleep better at night."
"She's not dead," You murmured, earning a small look from Sheriff Stilinski. "Trust me, Sheriff – Malia is alive."
...
Scott and Stiles followed you through the woods, where you stumbled across the car wreck that was too far down for it to be towed, Stiles pulled a very old, dirty and broken doll from the wreck; jumping as the doll still had a working voice box.
"Okay. That was freaky."
"Y/n?"
You just walked off in a daze, with Scott and Stiles following behind, soon the three of you stumble upon the den that you dreamt about for a few nights, it looked the same and you held up the jacket that Malia as the coyote used as a pillow.
"I told you that she was alive."
"Malia... is the coyote?"
"Werewolves, Kanimas, Banshees, clairvoyants and druids, you were quick to believe in Stiles," You teased, slightly laughing. "But werecoyotes is where you draw the line?"
"Werecoyotes... What's next Sirens and fairies?"
Scott motioned them to be quiet, his eyes darting about as they weren't alone, soon Rafael McCall and a small team of the sheriff station cornered them as they exited the den, you believed that Malia wasn't far behind.
...
Once again the pack was in the woods, planning to keep Mr Tate from killing the coyote who he believed killed his daughter, was his actual daughter – well, adopted, but still.
Stiles and Lydia took one way, following Scott and Isaac as they took off the moment a gun shot echoed with Allison close behind.
You were left by yourself, you decided to go back to the car wreck to see if you could find anything else – that when you received a frantic call from Stiles, he took the doll from the wreck and Malia followed them to return the doll to the wreck.
To Malia, the car wreck was like a grave and the doll, which belonged to her sister was the flowers.
And you were standing in the middle of the said grave.
Great.
Your body froze as there was a slight growl behind you, turning as you noticed Malia's coyote form standing front of you.
"Malia?" You whispered, as the coyote tilted it's head. "You're Malia, right?"
Another gun shot rang out in the air, Malia slightly whimpered, knowing that it was Mr Tate hunting her, you knelt on the ground, making Malia look at you in curiosity. "Go." You whispered, wanting her to run away, you picked up a random rock and threw it at the coyote, who snarled at you.
"Go!"
Suddenly something hit you in the shoulder, you yelled out in pain as the bullet was lodged in your shoulder, Malia let out a small whimper not wanting to leave but also took the chance to run in the direction where the gun shot came from.
"No! Malia!"
You began to give chase, not bothered about the wound in your shoulder as suddenly Scott came out of nowhere, tackling you both to the ground as he stared at Malia's coyote form and roared.
Another whimper escaped from Malia as she knelt down in submission, changing from a coyote to an eighteen-year-old, naked girl.
Malia, after a hot shower was still a little disoriented and feral, after being a coyote for so long, it was a surprise that she could speak – only a little, and that was only to you or Scott.
After a good amount of time removing the knots from her hair, you and Malia had bonded a little as you helped pick out something for her to wear, deciding to go with a loose fitted sundress so that she didn't feel too restricted.
You watched from the back of the police cruiser as Noah reintroduced Mr Tate to his daughter, Stiles then let out a small laugh, earning your attention.
"I can read again!"
