it's not as ferret-y as it could be, as a design, like, idk, could have a headband with ears or something, but it's just a quick sketch and I was mostly going on vibes and color palette lol

douchebag complete, I think. if you saw the previous concept, no you didn't.

anyway this guy is a villain and limited speedster, and by "limited speedster" what I basically mean is that he can move really quickly but only in brief bursts, so instead of being a Speedster like the Flash or whatever, he's more like a blink-step hand-to-hand gun-fu kind of character. Insanely fast reflexes, etc. but can't sustain it.

Included the lineup (ft. some new TJ costume art) to get an idea of relative size, and also because Pistol-Fist is generally relevant to REfactor and RC specifically. I also included the Psykopomp because I was like. Okay. This soup has too many dudes. But she is also relevant. Though I'm still not sure if Pistol-Fist and the Psykopomp will interact or not. Working some plot stuff out regarding Lilith's first big heist (bank robbery) and he might end up playing into that, but I'm undecided as of yet.

idk if this guy is actually all that creative but some of the inspiration for his costume comes from venus fly traps as well as, to a vaguer extent, peacock shrimp (pistol shrimp... pistol fist............. etc.) Chances are he didn't design or make his own costume, anyway. but who knows.

I was struck by a visual and needed to draw it right away so I also used this as an excuse to sketch out a rough idea of what Novaglow's updated costume actually looks like, beyond the rhinestone Cleopatra wig lol

In my head this black light aura thing is like, advanced power usage, allowing her to be essentially telekinetic, act as a universal magnet, crush things in their gravitational wake, and also sustained flight/hovering with less effort.

Mostly I just thought it would look cool 😂

For the costume, probably it wouldn't be quite a dusty glitter effect, more likely it would be a lot of sequins or rhinestones sewn onto the costume that slowly disperse into the dark blue, to be like stars, but I just wanted to get the idea onto paper :P

It's a little figure skater-y to reflect Novaglow's rivalry with Instachill who has (is planned to have) some speed skater themes in their costume which is also sparkly but mostly white (like ice/snow) — a fun contrast imo

finally decided to update the costumes for these two to give them a more consistent shared aesthetic and to make them look more professional

two versions, i just had this image in my mind of a pink jumpsuit that i really wanted to draw. maybe the jumpsuit is for winter and the pantsless one is for summer or something lol

bonus logo for the company running things — tried to evoke some of the vibes of 2000s telecom company logos.

i considered teal, because i like turquoise as well (also pink but, that's taken), but i decided a neon purple would fit best with stealth powers.

stealthy... cloaking... honestly this power set is basically just "big time spider-man but radiant" lol

long and narrow... i have proportionally broad shoulders, so, you know. also a flat ass.

It's meant to be definitely blurple, not purple, but it looks really blue on my computer and really purple on my phone so I'm like ???? idk.

used my little phone doodle to draw out a slightly clearer reference of TJ's first (DIY) costume and also decided to do a little draw-over of the jumpsuit so that I could show off his physique a little better
