hi! i just read your bio pages from your post :) abt shirou and nova: is there a stigma between a cat beasthuman and a wolf beasthuman dating? is it normal? i’d love to know about the lore of you have it! :D
Oh my goodness thank you so so much ;w; you have no idea how much it means to me that you took the time to bother to look at them...
To answer your question, I don’t really think there’d be that much of a stigma about them hanging out or even dating, tbh! If they received any kind of judgment/backlash, it would probably stem more from the fact that Nova chooses to display part of her Beastman traits even when she’s in human form, since Beastmen apparently tend to present themselves in their plain human forms in day to day life...not really sure why, but it is what it is I guess lol. I don’t think it’d be seen as weird for them to date or anything, though, although it may be kind of weird/funny for them to interact at first. But that may be more due to their conflicting personalities and feelings rather than anything to do with their animal traits :P
I never really got the sense from the show that Beastmen of different types/species ever had any kind of tension interacting. Maybe I blanked it out, but I do hc that, while it may not be unusual or looked down upon for Beastmen of various species to mingle, it’s just more common for dogs to settle together in one area, cats in another, and so on and so forth. In the show they DO have canon suburbs/settlements like that, Rabbit Town is the one that comes to mind first, although despite the name it was more just a slum comprised of various species than a place where strictly rabbit Beastmen tended to reside. And while no one is necessarily barred from entering anyone else’s “territory,” it may just not be as common to see Beastmen of typically opposing or rival type species mingling in each other’s neighborhoods. Like with wolf Shirou strolling in to hang out at the cat cafe lmao or some Beastmen of rodent or various other prey types being uneasy around someone like Nova, inherently, because they can sense or smell her cat-ness, for lack of a better explanation lol. This was never explicitly shown or proven in the show I don’t think, like with a wolf like Shirou, we never really saw other Beastmen reacting to his being a wolf, but rather just his abrasive personality in general fheisljflesfs
I hope that answers your question adequately?? I feel like I mostly just postulated and rambled about random thoughts instead of giving a concrete answer, so if you’d like something more concise and specific, I can try to give it a shot ;w;
