The Arkham Knight genesis comic is so interesting because Jason is disillusioned by Batman and Gotham very early on. I think it could be because it is being told retroactively but I got the impression that the entire time Jason was just bidding his time until get could get away from Gotham and everything it has to offer. And it’s Bruce that brought him back into the cycle in violence and also the literal reason Jason got trapped in Gotham. That thought is rotting my brain.
