Drawing Umas based off of real horses…

Arkle is a bay gelding (male horse who’s castrated, meaning he doesn’t have offspring 😢😢😢) who raced between 1961-1966. Just an amazing guy, he won 27 of 35 races (while being NERFED haha impressive)

Also he’s very friendly to people, like for example letting children ride his back when they visit the farm where he lived. Plus he was racing as television was becoming popular so he became quite the celebrity…

Tbh it’s kinda a coincidence that I posted this on St Patrick’s Day. Arkle’s born in Ireland and is considered a national hero there. There’s a song about him

It was a famous Irish Thoroughbred racehorse; a bay gelding by Archive out of Bright Cherry, his grandsire was the unbeaten (in 14 races) flat racehorse and prepotent sire Nearco. Arkle was bred at Ballymacoll Stud, Co Meath by Mrs. Mary Alison Baker of Malahow House, near Naul, Co Dublin. Owned by Anne Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster, Arkle was trained by Tom Dreaper at Greenogue, Kilsallaghan…

More experimentation with Arkle.  Changed his skin color and worked on his super form.  Thinking about what his clothes would look like.

Dunno if I like the blue skin with spots.  Then again, i noticed that the old blue skin looked like an already existing alien race.  So this will take some thought. :T

Anyway, Arkle’s species primarily tends to eat vegtables, nuts, and fruits, with meat occasionally, but it’s rare.  Except for what’s commonly dubbed their “primitive forms,” they’re primarily pretty docile and avoid war when possible.  They can breed great fighters, but they usually only fight for sport or on a rare hunt.  That said, they are very formidable and have easily repelled hostile invasions.  Above you can see Arkle sort of beginning to access the primal form.
