Carnival of aros, November: Prioritization
I am aromantic, and probably asexual but i prioritize my aromantic identity. I could probably be considered non sam aro but i don't use the term.
Why do I feel like that's the most important part of my identity? Because it's at the front of my mind during every interaction with friends or new people. Will they think i am interested? Do i come off as flirty? Will this physical touch be interpreted as romantic?
It's a lot to think about. For the first time i have come out to friends before/when ambiguity started to arise, and tho it was awkward, i could now be as affectionnate as i wanted! It's very freeing
As with gender, i identify as genderqueer but i don't feel the need to put one before the other as i feel that the two play on different parts of my life. I think the only part where they overlap would be my presentation:
The meme of wanting to be a sexy genderless vampire doesn't really apply to me, i would rather look like a friendly wood creature ! So less attractive, more friend shaped!
My heart loves in green, but i am very much yellow
Thank you for reading my entry and happy ace awareness week to all of you lovely aces!
