For Pride Month, I thought I'd turn my beaded stars into an obnoxiously prideful charm bracelet.

This piece uses techniques and materials covered in my Bead Pin Bracelet, Bead Star Garland and Bead Star Pendant tutorials. I'd recommend using a chain with shorter links if you want to squeeze on a bunch of flags, as the links on this paperclip chain made it difficult to add more stars while still spacing them evenly along the chain.

Did I create this display to celebrate Aromantic Visibility Day? Nope, this is how my dolls dress every day...

(Between my doll dresses, backpack, jewellery, bookmarks and writing, aromanticism looms large in my creativity. Visibility, though, isn't just about pride colours or fictional representation. It's about making space for the diverse experiences, fears, needs and hopes of aromantics living in communities that struggle to reckon with our existence.)

Six years ago (also as part of @aggressivelyarospec's Aggressively Arospectacular), I shared a collection of cross-stitch flag patches attached to my yellow canvas backpack. I've since created a library of pride-themed cross-stitch tutorials and designs; I've also worn out the backpack. What better time, then, to share my newest aro bag?

I think the photos say it all: using my seed bead star pendants, I made an aromantic flag garland.

I've had this hanging off my shelf for a month now, and I still think it's the best pride craft I've ever made. Absolutely worth the trouble of turning 750 seed beads into thirty stars!

Over the past eighteen months, I've made enough green, white, grey and black clothing pieces to outfit ten Barbie dolls in aro colours. In addition, every doll has earrings, necklaces, belts or embroidery featuring pride stripes. Now I just have to figure out how to make a one-sixth-scale aro pride march display...

I indulged myself in making something I've wanted to try for the last couple of years: a flag dress. I sewed both dresses by hand and, yes, those tiered skirts took forever!

As both dresses involved my experimenting with proportions (bodice length, skirt width and skirt length), I haven't created a final pattern. I still want to make a few tweaks, but I hope my third attempt will get me the dramatic pride dress of my dreams.
