Desinoromantic refers to an aro-spec attraction where one does not experience full-on romantic attraction. They may experience alterous attraction or other forms of attraction, but they do not experience complete romantic attraction. They may describe their attraction as "liking someone, but not loving someone," which is the end of their attraction. It is similar to demiromantic.

does anyone know if theres a term underneath the gray- umbrella thats specifically about the "gains/loses the attraction under circumstances" but specifically, more so randomly?

Like, lets just say someone's attracted to someone but randomly loses it but then randomly gains it back?

🌻nearese- orientations🌻

the prefix nearese (pronounced knee-are-essay) refers to orientations where one feels a complete disconnect from the concept of a certain kind of attraction, despite experiencing said attraction, due to neurodivergence. so, for example, someone who experiences sexual attraction and knows they do but, due to being neurodivergent, feel a disconnection from the concept of sexual attraction. it may feel like they feel sexual attraction, but it feels like someone else is feeling it and they’re just watching, or just any disconnect from the kind of attraction due to neurodivergence.

this term is not for neurodivergent people who do not experience a specific form of attraction due to a feeling of disconnection, but for neurodivergent people who do experience a form of attraction from which they feel disconnected. this feeling may vary and how the disconnection feels may vary, as everyone experiences neurodivergence differently.

this can be affected by any kind of neurodivergence.

the prefix nearese- can be added to any form of attraction to specify- nearesesexual, neareseromantic, nearesequeerplatonic, neareseplatonic, nearesealterous, nearesesensual, and neareseaesthetic

etymology- from the irish term for mental health (neareolaiochta) and the samoan word for divergent (ese’ese).

an a-spec orientation where one is both cupio- and apres-! this means they do not experience a certain type of attraction, but are still interested in being in a relationship. however, they are only willing to be in a relationship after another form of attraction is felt.

for example, someone who is cupiapromantic would be cupioromantic and a modified concept of apresromantic- they don’t experience much, if any, romantic attraction, but they are up for having a romantic relationship with someone if they feel another form of attraction to the person(s). this can apply to any other form of attraction and relationship as well!

aegoace-

someone who is aegosexual when it comes to one/a few genders, but asexual when it comes to other genders. it’s a subset of parosexual, where one experiences aegosexual attraction to some, but not all, of the genders they’re attracted to, but are ace/apothi towards others.

🌻coupu- orientations🌻

coupu- is a prefix for orientations where one experiences a certain type of attraction but feels completely disconnected from that attraction. they know they experience it, but the thought of it feels foreign, like they experience it but it’s not really them, there’s just a disconnect between the person and the concept of a certain form of attraction, despite feeling it.

this term is the non-exclusive version of the nearese- orientations, meaning this version isn’t for people whose neurodivergence affects this orientation. this can be used by anyone- including neurotypical people and neurodivergent people whose neurodivergence doesn’t affect the disconnect between them and the attraction they feel.
