I'm bored and so here's the Chinese names I shall give to aegoromantic and aegosexual.

Aegoromantic would be 無我浪漫傾向 (traditional Chinese), or 无我浪漫倾向 (simplified chinese). 無我/无我 means " no me " which reflects the " aego " since the a in aego means without, and ego means self. 浪漫傾向/浪漫倾向 is the romantic part within aegoromantic, based off the Chinese name of aromantic, which is 無浪漫傾向/无浪漫倾向.

Aegosexual would be 無我性戀傾向 (traditional chinese) or 无我性恋倾向 (simplified chinese). 性戀傾向/性恋倾向 comes from the Chinese name of asexual which is 無性戀傾向/无性恋倾向. 無我/无我 is already explained above.

Feel free to use them. Especially for bodily Chinese people. Again, no DNI list.

Not quite sure if you do asks on microlabels but I just have to get this off my chest.

So awhile back I figured out I was aegoromantic, I thought I wanted romance, but when I got in a relationship, I found out I simply enjoyed the concept (me and my ex are now very comfortable as being just friends now). This all led to me doing deeper research to better understand my general orientation and I just generally saw people saying terrible things about it. I saw someone calling it a "p*rn addiction" and that aego people were basically just pretending to be aroace for validation.

this is aspec antagonism.

im also aego. aegosexual, specifically. ive always felt a little ashamed of my sexuality specifically because of this stigma. saying that aego folks have a porn addiction is amisic and a completely incorrect generalization.

im glad you were able to find out that you're aegoromantic. you aren't pretending, you're a valid member of our community.

Being aroace (to be specific aegosexual) is a strange experience for me cuz on one hand it is nice to not be yearning for romance or sex like most of the world, it feels freeing like I have no worries in that section of life but also feels alienating in a way. The concept of actually having a crush on someone in real life, desiring them physically and wanting romance will always be something I will never feel, experience or even want. It only makes sense to me when it is fictional characters but in real life it feels like something made up. And that makes me feel different in a way, but also to me it has been a blessing in disguise cuz I am immune to something the world talks about like it's the end goal of all end goals lol.
