after running a way out of date qbittorrent version for like a year at this point i finally had to pull the trigger and remove the old lxc and move my shit to a new install.

i did it and it worked but the file checks and save locations for the long term torrents didn't copy over so i had to remove the 3TB of Anna's Archive I've been hosting for them for about a year and a half now.

also had to remove the long standing media based torrent i was hosting (mainly the simpsons) so now i have to redownload those using SABnzb.

alsoooo i finally added in an SSD i had laying around to act as my download/unpacking cache for my SABnzbd/sonarr/radarr installs and even though it's a lot slower than the internal NVMESSD that is in the host machine having a dedicated drive seems to now let me avoid my previous bottlenecks.

my first bottleneck was networking. my save location was setup to look at a mountpoint on my NAS for the complete/incomplete folder for sonarr/radarr to monitor which while it worked out okay, I was seeing high IO wait time because all of the changes need to be accessed and written over my gigabit network.

i then setup a test mount point with some of the dead space on the host NVMESSD which WOW is it much faster, but I was still seeing high iowait times. I assume it was due to it being the host drive and there was some confusion going on with that.

anyways now i've added in this second, though slower SSD, I'm no longer seeing high iowait issues which is nice.

I wrote a script to transcode my video library, but it takes for fucking ever. It has been going now for 4 days.
