As we all know Felicity is a precious badass cupcake! I figure it can’t hurt to look at the many acts of bravery she has performed because let’s face it - our girl rocks!

Arrow 5x01 - Felicity is Oliver’s ENTIRE team, despite the fact that she is STILL dealing with Havenrock

Arrow 5x02 - Felicity gives the most amazing pep talks - not going to lie this is one of my favourite Olicity scenes

5x03 - Felicity bravely told Rory the truth about Havenrock

5x04 - Felicity the leads the newbies while Oliver breaks John out of military prison. Felicity made it clear to Lyla and Oliver she did not agree with this plan.

I know I’m stretching here. The thing I loved best about Felicity in 5a was her quiet strength. It felt like she was hanging on by a thread. I thought EBR was AMAZING. It’s just kind of hard to show in gif form - but I remain so impressed with her awesomeness.

Felicity’s inspiring speeches to Oliver in season 5.

Rene’s response to being called out for moving on Sampson is really interesting. He realizes he messed up. It’s why he doesn’t own up to it immediately, why he sounds nervous. Why he can’t entirely meet Oliver’s eyes. And he knows he broke Oliver’s trust. It’s just his instinct to fire back and defend himself when someone is arguing with him and so he fights. He (a lot like Oliver) is so action oriented. He wants to DO something, to help. And he stands by that instinct, believes in it. 

He tries to hide it but Rene has a big heart. He cares about the neighborhood and the people being hurt by Stardust and he wants to help. He instantly takes a liking to Evelyn and kind of pulls her under his wing, like a little sister. He, for all his talk to the contrary, I think, respects Oliver and wants to be taken seriously by him and feels bad that he messed things up.

Quick Thoughts

- First the gif above - Felicity gives Oliver SO MANY adoring looks in Season 5 - where did they go in Season 6????

- Yep, Rene STILL not doing a single thing to make me interested in giving him a chance.

- Poor Diggle in prison - did like his mind game remember Deadshot

- We see Susan Williams for the first time and I have to say while I’m still totally Team Thea - she really was just doing her job. 

- Adrian Chase made quite the entrance to the show storming into Mayor Handsome’s office

- I’m really glad we get to see Cody Rhodes again this year. I’m not a wrestling fan so I never heard tell of him until I saw him at Comic Con right before he was on Arrow and he won my heart - right now I like him more than like SA.

- I do love how Felicity supports Oliver! So many Olicity moments!! There have probably been more Olicity moments in the first three episodes of Season 5 then there were in ALL of Season 6.

- John giving up and wanting to stay in prison hurts

- Oliver apologizing to Rene -gag me.

- I love that Derek Sampson wants his team to be just as powerful as him

- Oliver walking out of the explosion - STILL SO COOL!

- Felicity is so proud of her man

- STILL love when Thea brings out her inner Moira

- I hurt SO MUCH. WHY didn’t we get an Olicity moment after this?!

- Lyla wants Oliver to bring John out of prison...interesting

- No shirtless Oliver :(

Season 5 tally- 1/3 episodes with shirtless Oliver.
