details regarding coffeeshop au:
-the whole story is just taking place when they’re older (like received miraculouses at 17/18)
-master fu is still guardian and None of the heroes know each other’s identities (they also don’t know all the heroes irl so they’re not centered in one class lol)
-marinette already asked out adrien, who turned her down and now are great fantastic friends transformed or not (they figured each other out early on)
-everyone is in their final year of school, marinette’s fashion brand is taking off thanks to adrien’s willingness to blatantly advertise it Constantly
-luka is two years older and studying at university, playing with kitty section (that adrien never joined)
-viperion and chat noir are patrol partners who def spend Way too much time flirting
-luka figures it out after they’ve gone on Several dates and they
-adrien and marinette meet luka at work one day and let’s just say they hit it off but it definitely takes mari’s and alya’s meddling to actually get adrien to do something about it
His eyes drifted down to the small necklace hanging around his neck, it looked nearly identical to the one he’d given his patrol partner just about a year before, “This is cute,” Luka said, turning it between his fingers, noticing the engraving on the back, confirming nearly all of his suspicions.
Adrien looked down, “Thanks, a friend gave it to me! I typically keep it under my shirt to keep it safe, but--” he laughed, half shrugging as he watched him continue looking at the necklace.
Luka hesitated, looking back up to his face, feeling his cheeks start to flush, there was definitely only one of these necklaces in all of Paris, and he knew because he made it. “Chat?”

“I’d love to keep having you as company,” Adrien smiled, setting his hand on his thigh, making Luka more aware than ever as he looked back down at his still empty glass, “Thanks for coming with me, I know I’d never hear the end of it if I came alone, and honest? I think we look really cute together.”
Luka knew he was talking about their outfits, or at least, he assumed he was talking about their outfits, “Yeah, no problem, I did offer long before you couldn’t find a date--”
“Oh, well, yeah, I guess you are my date--” Adrien laughed, setting his glass precariously close to the edge of the bench, looking back at him, “Also mom loves you, so that’s just another perk of you being here,” his face was flushed and so close to his as he smiled, “You look so different with your hair pushed back-- like, good different, not weird different.”
“Thanks? I typically just let it dry how it wants-- yours doesn’t like to stay back, does it?” he teased, reaching up to feel a fallen piece, hardened by product, “Why even bother?”
Adrien shrugged, his hand moving the slightest bit up his leg as Luka dropped his hand, refusing to look away from the other, staring back, “I just do what I’m told-- I stopped asking questions a long time ago.” Luka didn’t want to be reading into the blond’s actions, but his hand was on his thigh, and his face was inches from his, close enough he could smell the alcohol in his breath. He pulled back as the bells tolled, pulling Adrien’s attention back to their surroundings, “Oh, dang-- guess we should go--” he groaned as he threw his head back, clearly irritated by the idea, “What are the odds we just hop the fence and bail on this whole thing?”
“Not even giving you that possibility, c’mon--” Luka mumbled, standing up to offer his hands, taking one as he reached to pick up his glass by the stem, “Let’s go, kitty.”
