I opened the sims 4 the other day after months of not playing (classic) and saw that their data processing agreement had changed in a way I felt was dubious (based on vibes alone), and immediately closed it without agreeing. Thought I'd make a decision on it later.

Decision has been made for me.

Maybe I should just get a cracked pirated version because I’m sick of the UC. I too have bought the games many times over so I wouldn’t feel guilty.

I think it’s the best way to go at this point, personally. Especially if you don’t already have or want Origin on your playing machine. (Which I do have, for TS3, which I poke at occasionally mostly for laughs.) And especially if you want to use AGS for whatever reason. The collection I downloaded includes all the patches, too, which isn’t needed with the UC since it comes patched. So that’d be an extra step over the UC, but...meh.  EA gave away the UC to people who already owned any of the games and is no longer selling TS2 in any form, so I really don’t see any problem with pirating the game at this point. The only people you’re depriving of anything at this point by doing so is people who sell used disks....which are legally kind of shady to use, anyway, since, technically, licenses can’t be transferred between end users. So...Well, like I said, meh. :)
