Does anyone have any good material on the study of lighting and shadows when it comes to art?

More specifically how light falls from different angles, what part of ur figure it hits and the different types of light and shadow.

And preferably something you can also use on a more cartoonish artstyle.

I want to actually understand my art better than i do now. And i wanna learn to place shadows and light correctly and not just guess or follow a general vibe.

Id really appreciate if anyone had something i could use as the reason Ive put off studying this stuff is because it felt so broad and impossible to grasp. Help is greatly appreciated🙏

can you differ characters i draw without color palettes ??? because I'm starting to wonder if I'm having a repetition issue

like yeah I'm not one to fall for the propaganda of "same face / same hair / same pose syndrome" stuff, art is art if it looks similar then i say that's just a style but I'm really starting to wonder if my art has lost it's diversity over time 😭

i need like, a genuine criticism over here because I'm thinking maybe all i need to do is start working on incorporating new components into my art style because it's already generally simplistic or like ?

like OKAY it MIGHT just be my doodle style, but i ... ? still draw similar to this in general i feel ?
