Hi, I totally forgot to share this lol. Here’s another John for you 🥰 also featured on Rob’s Instagram a while ago!!! This was done on a 16x20 piece of cardboard that I got from a poster I had lying around that I’d just never opened. It was done with charcoal, a white gel pen, various HB pencils, a black colored pencil as well as acrylic paint :)

92130 Magazine Features the San Diego Art Loft
Develop Skills and Inspiration at the San Diego Art Loft
Written by Jennifer Frakes and featured in the October/November 2015 issue of 92130 Magazine.
At the San Diego Art Loft, owner and artist Elissa Lieberman Krasenbaum’s mission is to educate students on the many languages of drawing and painting while cultivating a creative community. “I hope to encourage students to trust their innate abilities in the face of self-doubt by being willing to see in new ways. Even if a student never picks up a pencil or brush again, I hope that through art they have learned about problem-solving, mindfulness, and perseverance,” related Elissa. San Diego Art Loft offers lessons and classes in drawing and painting for students ranging from ten years old to adults of all ages.
After teaching for many years at the college and adult level, managing a museum art school, and teaching children, Elissa has discovered that the same principles must be taught across all ages. Although the delivery of the instruction varies depending on the age group in a class, Elissa keeps the fundamentals of instruction the same. “Drawing and painting require new ways of seeing. My real gift is becoming a guide and partner to a student to give them a challenging but rewarding learning experience,” explained Elissa, who has extensive experience as an artist, art teacher, and art studio manager. Her background and passion for teaching allow her to connect with students of all ages and abilities, especially those who want to challenge themselves with learning something new.
