Time to make the doughnuts. I finally used the last of my small underglaze transfers on the work that went in the kiln yesterday. For me process is a large reason why I make and I try to make every thing I use on my work. I made this screen and the learning curve of what works was steep. First was making imagery that would burn well into the photo emulsion, second was getting the photo emulsion thickness on the screen correct, third was getting the right time of exposure and finally figuring out how thick I needed to make the underglaze to print. Lots of research and trial and error but I’m satisfied with the outcome. Once the black has dried I’ll apply the color to the backside. Then they will be ready to rock and roll. Stay safe. #artinterrupted #clay #screenprinting #howiamaco #amacovelvetinderglaze #hazardware #corrosive #warninglabels #ceramic #process https://www.instagram.com/p/B_AQtGwjAAq/?igshid=bjub7742va84
