I know that the journey has been long and hard. Yes, it’s easy to sit and type those words, but like you, I have experienced the pain and hardship as well. But this isn’t about me. It’s about all of us. Not only can we improve, but we can also thrive in what we’re doing. Whatever situations we found ourselves in that left us broken, we can overcome. We can heal from those things. Maybe healing won’t be getting back to where we were before those things, but it may be stepping into something completely new that is just as good. Or maybe, it could turn out even better than that.
I know that you may feel like giving up. Even as I have committed to doing better myself, I still have days where I question whether or not things will improve. Then, I look at just how far I have come. Last year, I found myself in a very tough situation. My mental health had deteriorated beyond what I ever thought possible. Then, my already poor physical health began to get even worse. Today, I find myself in a new city with a new job at the company I always wanted to work for. I am now able to get out to the gym three times a week. I could not have imagined that a year ago.
Keep pressing on. It doesn’t matter that you feel like you are behind or that you are moving slowly. You’re moving, that’s the most important thing. The journey is tough and you might hate it some days, but you CAN get better. You CAN grow. You CAN “be who you were meant to be.”

Unhealthy vs healthy love.
And in the end, we were all just humans... Drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness.

Can you see the real me, can you?
