Ever found yourself would up too tight? Losing your temper at the drop of a hat. Yelling at the food delivery guy or at the Uber driver for not finding your location on the map right? Yes we have all been there. But have you asked yourself WHY? Did it ever occur to you that you could have said something better? Put it in a better way. Used nicer words. I'm not going to use the cliche and say everyone has their own difficulties. I'm sure they do. That's their head ache. There's also something called as common sense. There's something called as Patience. Before you fly off the handle at the next guy who cuts you off on the street, hold on there for just 3 seconds. That's all it takes, 3 long seconds. Let him/her pass by. You will not believe the relief you will feel when you just let it go. Smile. Cause you just saved yourself the trouble of being angry. You have forgiven some poor soul who is not in the same state of bliss you just felt. Don't paint that canvas only red. Fill it with all the colours the 🌈 rainbow offers. Fill your damn brain with it. Garden of Eden What is my one happy place? The fact that I associate memories with smells. How the hot summer reminds me of exams and anxiety for skipping chapters. The Sundays before an exam are stress ridden gaps of torture. Or the way morning smells ten days before classes start in June. I am plagued by them. Or how I remember Barcelona every time I enter a Mango store. And the smell of spring blossom perfume which reminds me of the sweet gift from a duty free perfume store. The litchi lip balm that is so reminiscent of long walks in Schweinfurt. Or your perfume that hangs by after someone exits the elevator. You know to feel that warm body next to you deep in slumber is something. A true affirmation of your good luck. And if that warm body turns around and tucks you in or sidles up to you for warmth. Then I would say you be selfish. Because that innocence is easily lost. That innocence of absolute trust. When we sleep we are at our utmost vulnerable self. Open to suggestions. Open to trust.
