UGH I got (sorta) soft locked to Asellus's Full Mystic and Human Endings. It's because I made the grave mistake of failing to mystic-absorb anything before "killing" Rastaban. From what I understand, doing this out of sequence breaks the ending flag checks. And if you try to absorb away and go for the Half-Mystic ending, you do not. You get the Full Mystic ending. (Bad?)

Actually, maybe this ending slaps.

Asellus becomes Orlouge and Rastaban is alive again in the corner chuckling about himself. (My headcanon is that he hung around as a Mystic Ghost or whatever and possessed your sword somehow.)

But it's DEFINITELY the bad ending. They even put her creepy pre-recorded laugh in there at the end. Do I live with her human ending instead?

Or did she fill with regret every time she mopped around the household toilets?

She never gets to be with White Rose because she goes Babies Ever After with some rando.

Also she loses her green hair (and immortality). Probably the worst thing is that it's never hinted at if she at least mended her relationship with her terrified aunt, the only human family she seems to have prior and arguably the one good reason to become human again. At least she seems happy, but it's unsettling how it's hinted she's not the same person you played as. She's "reborn" and no longer has the same interests and motivations. Does she even still know the DSC?

I can't even begin to figure out what flags broke, let alone how to fix it with some gameshark codes. (Love that debug room.) From what I can find, no one else has ever considered attempting it.

I have some earlier saves because I'm a maniac about staggered saving. (B thinks it's weird. I think it's a good idea.) But this is a punishing game and I need a break.
