LGBT people: get systematically oppressed
Cishets who don't fuck:
i can understand how the room is funny but i cant stand watching it. it's full of so many Sexe scenes
Aphobia isn't real
"But I was sexually harrassed after turning someone down"
-Thats misogyny and rape culture
"my friends call me names because I don't have a girlfriend"
-that's toxic masculinity
"my family wants me to have biological children"
-heteronormativity
And even if it WAS real, it wouldn't make you lgbt. You aren't LGBT unless you experience same gender attraction or are trans/nonbinary

Here's an interesting article about a psychologist who's been studying asexuality since the early 2000s. It talks about how, while psychology has long been aware that asexuality exists (such as Kinsey's Group X), it's kind of been ignored, which causes problems for asexual people.
Note that there are several times when he brings up similarities between how asexual identities are pathologized in psychology and how homosexuality was also pathologized for a while. Remember, asexuality often gets diagnosed as hypoactive sexual desire disorder, even though asexual activists have successfully lobbied to have the definition changed so that now you can opt out of the diagnosis if you identify as asexual. This means people who don't know about asexuality are still pathologized for it. Meanwhile, people who are out as asexual to doctors and psychologists are still routinely medicated for it (which can have a lot of potential side effects, some of which may be dangerous) and encouraged to try to "correct" it by having sex, in addition to having their identities called into question by psychologists who are supposed to be helping them.
It's particularly important right now to talk about the was asexual people are, in fact, oppressed on an institutional level, above and beyond interpersonal issues and discrimination. Just because a Tumblr user looking for clout says it doesn't happen, doesn't mean that's the truth.
Edit: apologies for the link not formatting correctly. I'm on mobile and even though I posted this as a link, it keeps diverting to a text post for some reason.
I’m doing a research paper on Asexuality and oppression for my sociology class. And while I’m searching, I keep on finding papers of how disabilities cause asexuality, or how women are choosing to be asexual (when they really mean celibate). While it’s infuriating to see that they’re implying that asexual are only this way because they’re disabled/they chose to be asexual, it’s only helping to strengthen my argument.
I'm angry because even though dos is for LGBTQIA silence they refuse to acknowledge the face that A stands for asexual. I'm silenced every day because "that's not possible." "You'll be normal in a few years" BUT NO ONE FUCKING ACKNOWLEDGES THE EXISTENCE OF ASEXUALITY AND IM PISSED THE FUCK OFF
