The Pride of June: Greyace
(We Like to keep it a little silly here on Hecateisalesbian)
The Grey Ace Flag is the Flag that describes someone whose sexual orientation is on the asexual spectrum, yet feel that there are parts of their experience that aren't fully described by the word asexual. Greyasexual can be used as a specific identity, or as an umbrella term for any ace-spec identity that isn't purely asexual, including demisexual and others. These people might experience sexual attraction only once in their life.
Fun History Fact: The concept of gray-asexuality developed in the early 2000s on the AVEN forums. In 2003, an AVEN member proposed the concept of "semisexuality," naming a half-way point between being asexual and not. Later, in 2006, AVEN member KSpaz proposed the term "gray-a" to describe the "fuzzy" space in the asexual spectrum.
Tumblr User: @winter-socks
Media Character: Ally (Amphibia), Blitzo (Helluva Boss), Willow Park (The Owl House), Rose Quartz (Steven Universe), Rick Sanchez (Rock And Morty), Mal (Descendants), Deadpool (Deadpool), Crowely (Supernatural), Klaus Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy), and Loki (Marvel Comics) are ALL Pansexual Characters!!
Why the colors? The Purple on the top represents asexuality and starting out with no sexual attraction, then the fade of Gray into White represents an episode of attraction with the white showing allosexuality, then fading back into being asexual.
Where can I find the calendar? The calendar is my pinned post on my blog @hecateisalesbian! This will be occurring all throughout June, and tags such as #The Pride of June and #PoJ Project can be used to find my post
Romance / Sex Favorable A Spec Flags
Romance Favorable Aro spec Flag : ⬇️
for Aro specs that are romance favorable : One enjoys the act or concept of romantic interaction. For those on the aromantic spectrum, they may enjoy romantic content, romance, or other romantic acts and/or seek out romantic relationships, possibly because they enjoy the emotional sensation, because they want to use it to enhance a sexual relationship, or for other reasons.
Sex Favorable Ace spec flag : ⬇️
For ace specs that are sex favorable : One feels favorable towards or enjoys sexual interaction. Those on the asexual spectrum, may enjoy sexual content, sex, or other sexual acts and they may seek out sexual relationships, possibly because they enjoy the physical sensation, because they want to use it to enhance a romantic relationship, or for other reasons.
Romance and sex favorable Aroace spec : ⬇️
( For those on both Aro and Ace spectrums ) Being both romance and sex favorable
These were intended to be “side labels” or something like that ( eg. Sex-favorable Greysexual, Romance Favorable Aroflux, Romance and Sex favorable Aroace etc.. ) but they can also be used as a single label by itself

A Guide to Writing A-Spec Characters
There's some controversy going around at the moment after Yelena Belova's appearance on Hawkeye, since she is aromatic and asexual in the comics. I made this as a reference for anyone who would like to write her or any a-spec characters, so you can see the variety of identities and how they interact with each other!
Asexual (Ace)
Defined as "Someone who does not experience sexual attraction or an intrinsic desire to have sexual relationships (or the adjective describing a person as such)." Being asexual is not the same as being celibate. It also doesn't mean that all aces hate sex - some people actively take part and enjoy sex, while others can be sex-repulsed or indifferent or have any other opinions inbetween. Being asexual also does not immediately mean someone is aromantic, and it can run along other identities - for example, someone could be a panromantic asexual.
Aromantic (Aro)
Defined as "A romantic orientation defined by a lack of romantic attraction. Aromantic individuals do not have an innate desire to be in a romantic relationship with specific individuals. They might also feel disconnected from the idea of romance." Being aromantic does not immediately mean a person is asexual as well, and other sexualities can run along side it - for example, a person could be aromantic and bisexual.
Demisexual/Demiromantic (Demi)
Defined as "Someone who can only experience sexual attraction or desire after an emotional bond has been formed (or the adjective describing a person as such). This is different from the choice to abstain from sex until certain criteria are met."
Graysexual/Grayromantic (Gray A)
Defined as "Someone who identifies with the area between asexuality and sexuality (or the adjective describing a person as such). For example, they may experience sexual attraction very rarely, only under specific circumstances, or of an intensity so low that is ignorable and not a necessity in relationships."
Queer Plationic Relationships (QPR)
Defined as "A committed relationship that is neither romantic nor sexual in nature but is based on an emotional bond beyond friendship, often between aromantic and/or asexual people." This is not the same as "just being friends", and while it is often made up of aro/ace people, allosexual and alloromantic people can be in one.
Oriented Aro/Ace
Defined as "An aromantic asexual (aroace) individual who experiences a form of tertiary attraction, that they feel is significant enough to warrant a place alongside their aroace orientation...This additional label can be based on any form of nonromantic, nonsexual attraction, such as platonic attraction, sensual attraction, aesthetic attraction, alterous attraction, queerplatonic attraction etc. or a combination of these."
Allosexual/Alloromantic
Defined as "Someone who does experience sexual attraction or an intrinsic desire to have sexual relationships (or the adjective describing a person as such). This category is also often simply referred to as “sexual”."
This is by no means an exhaustive list, and only really covers the definitions of the orientations. If you have any questions or want me to cover anything else, please let me know and I'll try and make another post, but in the meantime...there are plenty of resources on the internet. For more information, please take a look at some of these sources. I might make a post about stereotypes to avoid when writing a-spec characters in the future, but for now... happy holidays!
