(30 Day Asexuality Challenge) Day 12: Your favorite asexual Tumblr site.
I really, really like Asexual Education for blogs that educate people. But I also know some fantastic personal blogs of aces that I either follow or am in mutual followship with and they should know I love them very much ;3;
Sex-positivity, compulsory sexuality and intersecting identities
My submission for Carnival of Aces, hosted at my own blog this month! (Because I am totally submitting for my own carnival. Just sayin'.)
Some thoughts on sex-positivity, especially in reference to asexuality, and my questioning whether we need a different framework for viewing sex that is more inclusive and more critical of the ways that power, violence, intersecting identities and compulsory sexuality work in our society.

asexualeducation replied to your post: Seriously, intensely offended.
What on earth does not experiencing sexual attraction have to do with rape fantasies? Also, may want to put a Trigger warning on that post.
I would very much like to know the same thing. I can somewhat forgive people for being ignorant, as long as they are willing to at least attempt to learn, or not argue over it. I don't need to be challenged on my own sexuality (or lack thereof). Thank you for reminding me about the warning, I posted in a frenzy and that was a mistake.
asexualeducation replied to your post: listening to the HP Lovecraft Literary Podcast
I always thought he was anti-sexual? But if he’s ace that’s awesome!
i think he was kind of a holier-than-thou, asexuality-up-on-a-pedestal kind of asexual. so maybe not the kind of asexual that the community at large might prefer, but i think ace nonetheless.
if you look up Lovecraft, a lot of things will say that he may have been asexual. some things even say stuff like, "Doubtless there were few who were as asexual as Lovecraft..." or "... Lovecraft, the most asexual of men..." but yeah, he was known to be antisexual, it's true.
(i'm not sure why that last link is just over that one part of the text, tumblr's freaking out a little bit)
asexualeducation replied to your post: You are not asexual. Shutup. Thank you.
Wow, what a fucking idiot.
