hello asexual community! 💜 simply because i am very curious, here's a little poll about when we all discovered that we were ace, and how sex has factored into that. (i understand that this can be a touchy or personal topic so of course feel free to scroll past this poll and not answer it if it's going to upset or trigger you!!) pick the option that best describes your experience:
had sex before you realised you were ace, still had sex after that
had sex before you realised you were ace, stopped having sex after that
never had sex and always knew you were ace
never had sex but realised you were ace long after reaching "sex having age"
always* knew you were ace, had sex once or very few times after that
always* knew you were ace, still had sex regularly after that
remember that asexuality doesn't necessarily mean you don't have or enjoy sex, or that you're sex repulsed. asexuality is simply the initial lack of sexual attraction to people
*by "always" i mean like when you were a teenager and you started wondering about sex and your sexuality etc.
