Being asexual and/or aromantic in a time period like the Middle Ages or something where asexuality wasn’t even seen a thing that existed yet, but also things like chastity were considered virtuous, must’ve been super funny.

Like, imagine being a nun or something and thinking “aw man, sister Elenor and the others sure do love to go on about how they miss the carnal pleasures, I dont know what they’re on about tho. I’ve never really been into all that anyway so I must be just super extra good at this whole chastity thing. God must’ve blessed me to be his purest soul! I’ll be a mother superior in no time!” and the whole time girl just had a sexuality no one knew existed yet because they were preoccupied being weird about sodomy.

Who are the other two ace characters you know about, I always want more? There's also Nancy from Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire, if you don't know it yet, it's an excellent Novella

I've never heard of that story or character, I will look them up!

First ever actual canonical ace character I came across was 'Voodoo' from Sirens. They have a full episode about her being ace and the other characters learning about this.

The other is the comic version of Jughead from Archie comics. Never really read them myself but I know for a fact they erased that about himself in the edgy drama they made about it.

I've to say that over time the ace flag has grown on me. I started out like that looks a bit stupid to meh to I actually like that. I think it's to do with how over the last few months I've come to truly embrace my own asexuality and as I've come to accept and explore that part of me, my opinion on the pride flag as also grown. To the point where the flag now represents part a true part of me.
