“Whoops, your door is broken.”
Another (minor) character introduction!
Featuring Kestrel Wydrune, the current Student Council President of Ravenwood. His personal motto is:
“If girls can look good in skirts or dresses, I don’t see why guys can’t.”
A talented sorcerer who doesn’t like children in general, Kestrel usually has a frown plastered on his face. Perhaps his “resting bitch face” is the reason why he’s deemed as unapproachable. But really, he’s just a sweet bear guy who’ll just slam a door onto your face if you annoy him.
His main hobby is cosplaying. Ever since a certain Chase Silverblade introduced him to an Earthly junk called “anime”, he gained interest in cosplayers and gradually evolved into one. He usually cosplays female characters, because he is enthralled by their beauty.
Because of this interest, he uses his authoritative power as the president to sneak off into conventions on Earth at the strangest times of the day. Autumn, as the vice president, gets a headache every time he makes his ‘friendly leave’. Even the professors seem to notice, so Autumn sometimes has nightmares of being given both the president’s and the vice president’s workload.
Kestrel is a magical prodigy. He was originally from a bear descent, whose line of ancestry is relatively short. Hence his family still has the original form of a bear, including himself. But because of his aptitude for polymorphing, he has been able to give himself a human form for years. He usually covers his ears with a hat, which further enforces the disguise.
Like Kyle, he’s part of the Elite (Gen 78). Kestrel finds Kyle easy to talk to because of his easy-going personality, and Kyle is fond of Kestrel because the sorcerer never teases the theurgist with his height.
-----
Fun Fact: He enrolled in Ravenwood because of a bet.
Yes, finally! A (minor) character introduction!
Meet Kyle Silverblade, one of Chase’s two older brothers.
Kyle, like his siblings, is a half-dragon. He knows he’s going to turn into a rampaging dragon when his human lifespan ends, so he tries his best to enjoy what he is given. Contrary to his ancestry, he’s also a born theurgist. Surely he’s had his warrior/spear training, and obviously he has an aptitude for it... but whether he takes his warrior heritage seriously is pretty debatable.
(One thing for sure, he made it to the Gen 78 Elite.)
Because of the huge age difference between him and his older brother, Dylan, the only sibling he finds comfortable with is Chase. Yet the way he expresses his love is slightly aggressive in a sense, so his brotherly love is rarely reciprocated.
But hey, his girlfriend Lily surely loves him.
Instead of his half-dragon blood, Kyle’s height is his complex. He’s the shortest one in his family (5′8″), and his shorter height and skinnier build is used as a disadvantage in the Silverblade household. Here is an example:
Chase: Hey bro, how’s the air down there?
Kyle: TWO INCHES. You and I are only two inches apart.
-------
Fun fact: He’s the one who gave Lauren the name “Lauren”.

Author’s Note: Oh ho ho. So as you can see, the old ASGtR has been removed permanently. I put a lot of thought into this decision, since I initially had no general direction for this. (I was planning to work on a ‘main story’, after all.) But as I started writing this, I realized that this story has a lot of potential.
And so here is a new ASGtR, a slightly modified version with a plot direction. This time, it’ll be a long preclude to another story, which will serve as the main one.
As insinuated, A Student’s Guide to Ravenwood takes place in a modern, futuristic setting. Centuries have passed since the ‘heroes’ saved the Spiral, and now Ravenwood is at peace, properly serving its purpose as a school. Traumatized by the mistakes of the past, Headmaster Ambrose and the Ravenwood Faculty have employed new policies to prevent repetition.
ASGtR offers context on how Ravenwood has changed, both outside and inside. But the story does have a main plot, which will be carried out by the main characters, such as Rebecca, Chase, and Autumn (Lauren and Kent afterwards). Two minor characters, Blaze and Summer, are deployed to elaborate on the contextual bit, being the actual “Guide” part of the story.

Chapter 1 is pretty short, with only 2K words. And, I see a lot, of , commas,,,,,
Here’s a lil promo ;^))
I guess we needed a proper introduction. (The layout is crap but it’ll do)
