Is my dad ashamed of my sexuality?

My dad is a bit.... confused on the whole LGBT+ thing. He thinks transgenders are confused, he thinks that it’s stupid giving labels for these things, that there’s already words for them.

A few days ago, i saw an encouraging sexuality post and it involved the phrase “average bi and ready to try” as a thing that was suppose to be encouraging and inspiring. I changed my Skype name to it, and my parents were pissed. they said that ready to try looked like i was prostituting myself and that i should never tell anyone i’m bisexual because it could get me hurt.

I understand his worries, but he doesn’t understand that I can take care of myself. My mom hasn’t really discussed the subject, seeing it hasn’t really come up in conversation regularly.

My dad would be furious if he found out I was even talking about this online, and my dad always tells me “don’t tell anyone you’re bisexual.” He says I can’t even tell my friends (but they were obviously the first ones I came out to.) I have to run this blog in secret. My dad doesn’t understand that my bisexuality is a big part of my personality

But I need advice: do you think he is ashamed of my sexuality?
