Their development as a teenager who didn’t get to go to magic school!

Without having the academy to go to, she spent her teen years at a Ghoul academy, the best her mother could buy. The academy was sort of like Catholic school on steroids combined with a finishing/prep school. So whatever WSC managed to get out of her, her years underground effectively stomped it back down.

On the flip side, going to a school that focused heavily on actual studies and accomplishments instead of Shenanigans, it made Ivanya a very intelligent and educated and accomplished young woman. Emotionally repressed, traumatized, and other negative words; but smart as a whip. 

What surprised you most about the way your character developed?

How tender she is? How loving? Seriously, I at first meant for her to be a harsh woman, but she folded like a stack of cards and it all went downhill from there. I blame Hymie for it honestly. And Aud second. 

Relationships-wise

Romantically? I dunno. It fluxuates between a pride and prejudice style romance built entirely upon intense staring contests and scarce hand touching OR enemies-to-enemies-but-fond because she likes assholes and that’s as constant a characteristic as the tides. 

Friendship-wise? A confidante would be nice, someone who pulls her out from her shell, gets her to open up and loosen up. Someone who turns her from true neutral to chaotic neutral, or -- dare I say -- choatic good! (or evil, we’ll see.)

Daisy closes the door behind herself.

“Hey,” Arash protests. “I’m in here.”  Daisy’s black dress is too long to be slutty and too short for a parent’s memorial. She almost wore a veil, but decided, with careful consideration, that this is not the time to be funny.  “I could’ve been relieving myself.”

Daisy snorts. The effort Arash puts into complaining settles like a balm on a bruise she didn’t even know was there, over the flesh of her heart.

She sits on the toilet and crosses her legs. Her garters show. Arash is grateful for the distraction. “I have seen your firm Adonis buttocks before,” Daisy comments. “And I will see them again.”

Arash cracks the hair-thinnest of smiles.  “I’ll be out soon,” Arash says. His black tie is a dead fish floating belly up. “I just needed a moment alone.”

“Okay,” Daisy says. She takes off her shoes, puts down her phone, strengthens her heart for the both of them.

She climbs into the tub with him. Daisy’s skin is all goosebumps. She rests her head on Arash’s chest. “Soyons seuls ensemble.”

Arash wraps a soaking arm around her shoulder. “Okay,” he says.

misha will say something along the lines of wrong place, wrong time: davonte from the wizarding dept walking out of the boy’s bathroom in the 4th floor, misha a little too disheveled, grinning a little too wide, arash waiting outside of the stall until they were done like some kind of little hall monitor brat.

“you gonna cast the first stone,” misha asks, his nose bleeding down on arash’s black eye, his knee to his goddamn stupid gucci belt. “better get out of that fuckin fancy glass house.”

“resorting to stick and stones, i see,” arash says, though for once misha can hear the sneer in his voice and you know what. fuck it. it’s satisfying.

“two birds one stone.”

“good to know your appalling attitude is written in stone,” arash says, like the stone-cold bitch he is, and he shakes his stupid perfect hair out of his face, and well. misha isn’t made of stone, but something else might be.

“then it seems like we’ve hit a stone wall,” misha breathes. “motherfucker.”

10 19 22!!

10: Does your OC guard their emotions by being tough? If not how would they?

For sure, Olly guards her emotions like hell, but usually not by being tough. She is the kind of person who builds up how people perceive her, by using her appearance. Her reasoning is: If I’m put together with a nice outfit and good makeup, then of course I’m totally fine. What Olly has on outside is what she uses as her shield, but she doesn’t always try to guard her emotions. 

19: What boosts your OC’s confidence the most?

That good sweet Validation. Olly loves compliments and anything that people say positively to her. She thrives off of pleasing and helping people around her, she’s super social.

22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions? 

Romantic stuff makes Olly super shy and soooo old-school romantic. Flowers, box of chocolates, little love notes, all that fluffy shit is how she expresses any affection for others. She’s definitely a hopeless romantic. Any crush of hers would have a showering of compliments and everything ready for them.

13: What kind of situations does your OC avoid the most?a list, in order of violence of avoidant reaction:1. water.  any water-based situation can fuck itself right in the watery ass.2. emotional intimacy of any kind. period. that includes talking about his own feelings, someone else’s feelings, consoling a crying child, not being a prick for like 10 seconds etc;3. being outside alone at night 15: Does your OC consider themselves a good person?He doesn’t...really care.  He’s neutral, and he feels like he’s pretty neutral.  Not super evil, not actually good.  He’s genuinely just here for a laff mate xx22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?Oh he sucks at this.  he struggles a lot to talk about caring for people, and he wouldnt know a romantic gesture if it bit him in the ass, so his go-to moves are the Forehead Kiss and the Immediate Vengeance Planning. plot to murder my enemies so i know it’s real.

22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?

This is such a theoretical ask. I think the way it shows affection is just, by being more open about itself. Being emotional and vulnerable. Being honest. No amount of liking or loving someone is going to actually change it. It’s not going to be physically affectionate or even nicer than it is to say, Aud when they get along, but it’ll be more about itself.

23: Does your OC tend to hide something about their personality/essence when meeting new people? If yes, what?

What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)? 

:)!!!!!! ok the original idea was like i said very based on Feelings, so they were a concept before any sort of character, but the original story was that they got dimensionally displaced. so they fucked around with some magic and accidentally booted themselves halfway out of this plane of existence. and the mechanics were like, they couldn’t be seen or heard directly, but only through proxy. so they would show up in mirrors (very reverse vampire) and talk through speakers, like mobile phones or loudspeakers or radios, whatever was around. their friends would have to carry around like, hand mirrors and walkie talkies lmao. it was all very symbolic and tragic and one foot in two worlds, and i think had potential re where the rest of them ended up/the specifics of interdimensional limbo, but the big issue was obviously that that is completely fucking impossible to rp. but lor the dimensionally displaced dumbass is still very near and dear to me lol
