Asher Oak

Asher sometimes tries to come off as the serious, brooding type, but he’s actually a silly goofball that carries around books with pick-up lines and jokes. He has them with him at all times, just in case he needs them.

Aurora: Look I’m excited and smiling and just take the picture already I am well aware Asher is side-eyeing me and if he doesn’t stop I’m going to smack him I don’t care if someone gets it on camera. Asher: I’m just going to keep staring cause she can’t punch me if we want a good picture.

Janessa: Look at this little goob that thinks he’s cool *bunny ears behind his head* Mica: That’s not even subtle Janessa: *pats his head* It’s not supposed to be.

Dylan: *poses nicely for camera* Gemma: *Internally screeching* Kieran...Kieran his hand is on my shoulder *shakes his arm* Kieran: Do you know he’s right there and can probably hear you, right?

For the fankids who chose a conventional starter Pokémon (Bulbasaur, Totodile, Chimchar, etc.), what made them choose that one?

Asher - Charmander. Honestly, he decided early on that he was going to get a Charmander because neither of his parents chose that one first and he’s trying to get himself out of their shadows. Of course, he adores his Charmander the moment he got it and never regretted it.

Kieran - Piplup. This was basically the opposite reason of Asher. He wanted Piplup because of his mother. He adored her Piplup growing up and decided that he wanted one of his own.

Rose - Oshawott. She and Rika planned to travel together in Unova, so she looked up all kinds of Unova pokemon and decided that she wanted her first one to be an Oshawott. Why that one over the others? She did grow up surrounded by water pokemon and the two older females in her life (her mother, and her older sister) both specialize in water-types. It rubbed off on her.

Sierra - Chimchar. She loves fire types, it seemed only natural for her to get a Chimchar. Plus she thought he was adoreable.

Gwen - Turtwig. At first she didn’t want a Turtwig be cause that was what Paul started with. However, she ended up waking up late and it was the last one left. It took about a day for her to appreciate her pokemon though and she grew to love him.

Chelsea - Totodile. Almost similar reasons to Rose…growing up it seemed almost natural to pick the water type, especially after learning that Ash would have chosen the water-type at first. She also liked dancing and goofing around with Ash’s Feraligatr, so that’s what made he want Totodile over Squritle.

Marissa - Squirtle. The same as her sister to start, but she decided that she wanted something different than the other girls. She wasn’t sure if she wanted a Mudkip or a Piplup or Froakie or something else. She ended up in a really bad mood and Ash’s Wartortle was the one to make her laugh again, so that ended up prompting her to pick Squirtle. 

Cinna - Tepig. Fire bacon. No, seriously, when he met the three pokemon the other two were being all cute and Tepig seemed to be a little jerk. Prof said that it was a super picky eater. Cinna offered it a treat. It loved the treat. They were best friends ever since.
