For the writing game - Nat&Tony - accident, Spring, dance :D

"Dance with me." Tony held out a hand.

"It's raining," Natasha protested, but she let Tony draw her out on the patio. It was raining, but it was light and warm, the fresh, soft rain of Spring. 

Tony drew Nat into a ballroom hold and rocked them back and forth to the soft music that piped from Tony's phone. She melted into his arms, and stayed light on her toes, letting his chest take her weight with uncharacteristic vulnerability. Tony moved smoothly, making sure to dodge Natasha's bare feet as he swept her in small circles. 

"It's no accident that you needed help with those redacted files today, is it, Tony?" Nat asked softly.

Tony's chest tightened painfully. "I have absolutely no idea what you mean." He spun her out then back in again.

"I miss it, too."

Tony sniffed back some emotion that dared to leak out. "It's fine."

Natasha hummed, resting her cheek on his chest. "It's not. But we're okay."

"Thanks for coming," Tony whispered into her hair.

"He'd come too, if you asked."

Tony was quiet for a long time, the phone a dead weight in his pocket. Just as heavy, was the unsent message he had drafted to the one number saved in its contacts. "I know."

Natasha snuggled closer. "Happy birthday, Tony."

2. I got to come home early because of Covid-19 (I was supposed to be in South Korea until June), and it means that this will be my longest unbroken period of living at home since I started university.
