Hello there! I was wondering if you could help me with octokitten care? I've recently had one hatch from an egg (is that normal?) and I am unaware how best to take care of her. Will normal cat food suffice? How large do they usually get? Do they get along well with normal cats?

Ah, you got one of the fuckers! Don’t worry: very certified octokitten keeper here. Eggs are normal, about as common as live birth for them. Normally they multiply with mitosis, though. Keep them away from chlorine if you don’t want that happening.
You can feed them pretty much anything, as long as it isn’t weird and glowing. Cat food, dog food, bones, metal, human flesh, wood, radioactive chemicals, kitchen appliances, anything is fine. And you can’t really stop them from eating it, either.
Typically they end up about normal cat size, but also they’re a bit goopy, so sizes vary. If one absorbs another octokitten it’ll get bigger, though.
You can technically house them with normal cats, if they’re well trained enough. Yours just hatched, so it might work? Be careful, though. Try to keep it well fed if you don’t want the cat eaten.
