Ashton had been dying for you two to watch the latest horror movie that everyone had been talking about on Netflix, and it took some bribing with cuddles but you eventually caved, wanting nothing more than to see Ashton happy.
You had popped popcorn, so you could have something to nervously munch on, and forcing Ashton to light soothing candles and have cozy blankets on stand-by in case you got too scared.
The start of the movie wasn’t too bad - not too many scares or tense music to make you nervous; you were still tightly tucked into Ashton’s side, though, ready to turn and hide your face in his chest at the drop of a hat.
When it reached the climax of the movie, it got far scarier than you had anticipated, certain you were leaving marks on Ashton’s hand from digging your fingernails into his skin.
“This movie is really scary, but you’re into it so I’m trying not to cover my face the whole time, but - WHAT IS THAT?” You shrieked, knocking the bowl with the last bits of popcorn onto the floor.
Ashton chuckled, pressing a kiss to the side of your head, “D’you want me to turn it off?”
You shook your head, determined to see this stupid movie through till the end. You were still shaken when the movie was over and you were getting ready for bed. Sighing as you rinsed your mouth and headed out of the bathroom, you were confused at first when you didn’t see Ashton. Figuring he went to go get a glass of water, you were about to head over to your side of the bed when Ashton grabbed you around the waist, shouting ‘boo!’.
Gasping loudly, you spun around to see him giggling and you smacked his chest, “You dick! I nearly had a heart attack.”
Ashton couldn’t stop laughing as he wrapped his arms around your waist, hazel eyes begging for forgiveness, “I’m sorry baby. Can I make you breakfast tomorrow?”
Narrowing your eyes, you wound your arms around his neck, “I thought that was obvious that you were going to do it anyways.”
