I've realized
Hello everyone! I... have news. I'm not sure how to announce this, but the end of A Shot In The Dark is not only in sight, but it has been written as the main themes of the story have been wrapped up.
I know many of you were expecting something more, like Leo and Reader's first time, and possibly an exploration of the Leon/Reader/Don dynamic, which, yes, would have turned into blurple. Unfortunately, there's no main plot planned. It would have been working off of plot threads, and while that worked exceedingly well, I feel like it's time to give the ASITD crew a break.
For what it's worth, I have other projects in the works. Will the next ones be reader inserts? Probably not. While I had a lot of fun with the reader insert, I honestly felt it was too generic for me. So, I might have an OC next time. I hope that doesn't deter any of you, and if it does, I understand.
As for those curious about my next projects, I have two possible AUs in mind. A cowboy AU and an AU that is becoming very near and dear to my heart, and that I've taken to calling the R153 AU. I'm leaving the details under the cut.
The cowboy AU would double as a separated AU. Mikey and Leo get separated from their brothers in the explosion of the lab that made them. Their isolation in the Hidden City, along with their scrounging for food, has them discover their powers early, which transport them halfway across the US. Thirty years later, with Donnie and Raph having given up the search and Splinter on his deathbed, Donnie's secretary goes looking, hoping to get lucky.
The R153 AU is a more... interesting take, and I think I can summarize that one in one sentence. What if Hamato Yoshi died saving the turtles?
Let me know what you guys think. I haven't chosen which one to get started with yet, so be patient, please.

So, here we are. The end of ASITD. Chapter 59 has all the goodies you will ever want, along with the Special Thanks. I love you all and hope you're ready for the next project, which will likely be the R153 one. You all have no idea how much information I have on that world, and my Tulpas are more than ready for it.
