do i have a favorite earth animal?
raccoons, definitely up there. little nocturnal chaos units. resourceful. shameless. a perfect blend of menace and charm. They're trash commandos with grabby hands and no self-preservation instincts.
they dig through trash, hiss at anyone who gets too close, and somehow still look adorable doing it. also, apparently they wash their food before eating it.
i saw a video once where one tried to wash cotton candy in water and it just dissolved — and the poor thing looked so devastated. i’ve never related to anything more in my entire existence.
if they were Cybertronian they’d be in maintenance.
i see myself in them.
then again I do feel partial to pigeons they strut around cities like they pay rent, survive literally anything, and eat questionable street food. true soldiers.
And apparently humans have these things called “dogs.” they’re loyal, stupidly brave, and love unconditionally. can’t relate but… wish i could.
i also like crows. they’re smart, petty, and remember faces. one of them gifted a human a bottle cap once. imagine that. an alliance formed purely out of shared mischief. i respect that.
there’s something poetic about earth creatures, honestly. they live short lives, fight for scraps, build little homes out of whatever they find — and somehow still find time to nap in the sun.
sometimes i wonder what kind of animal i’d be, if i were organic. probably one of those alley cats that hangs out behind diners. half-feral, covered in grease, gets fed by someone who keeps saying “i’m not keeping it,” but keeps showing up anyway.
yeah. that sounds about right.
